Looking forward to your tone report! Do you also have a BB2? I just can't stop with these Barefaced cabs! I got my second One10 a day ago but now I'm already thinking of their 12'' cabs...

I love the BF cabs... selling off some stuff that I won't be using so that I can have a "collection".... I have a BB2, One10, Four10, and soon-to-be SM. Each of these has its own niche, either on its own or in combining with others. From very small to damn big, I'll be covered. I enjoy both the 10's and the 12's, different from each other but awesome in their own right. The best, IMO.

In my mind-- may or may not happen, and if it does it won't be for some time-- I'd like to add a 12-ohm Two10 so I can make the Four10 a Six10.

Got my covers for my one10 cabs. I went back with Studio Slips after trying one of their well-known competors for my Schroeder cabs. The Studio Slips are worth the extra coin. Fit perfectly, no issues, quailty materials and craftsmanship. Worth every penny.

In the near future I can comment on this for you-- I have a BB2 and have a SM on order. My reasoninf is similar to yours-- versatile aquisition since I can use it stand-alone ofr small to medium gigs and with the BB2 for gigs where I need more than a single BB2 (which would not be very often, as the BB2 handles a lot on its own in comparison to my needs).

Alex says the BB2-SM is one of his "recommended pairings" and ought to work extremely well together. I believe he said it's the third-most popular pairing, after BB2-BB2 and something else.

I have these speakers and use them as a stack frequently when I need or think I'll need to get stoopid loud--which they will!! I also combine a One10 with my SM as well if I only need to be loud. This stack is particularly good for doubling gigs as the old school sound of the One 10 is wonderful with double bass. I drive all the permutations with an AI Focus SIII that has gobs of power. I've tried many cabinets over time but the sound, loudness, dispersion, compact size and light weight, and build quality of BareFaced can't be beat.

Hi Erik,

Can you comment on the BB2's "super deep" character and tone compared to the SM? My gigging requirements have changed and the SM looks like a nice "mini-BB2" -- but I don't want to give up anything tone wise as the BB2 is the best cab I've played. My instruments are a Fender 5 active electric bass and a Taylor AB-1 acoustic bass guitar. There will be more acoustic in the future than electric with lower volume requirements. Thank you.

Boy, I do my best proof-reading when someone quotes me in their post, lol.

Thanks for the input here on BB2-SM pairing.

I know there is a small, secret cabal of TBer's seeking to enter the One10-SM combo into main stream usage despite the authority figures stating it is not an ideal pairing, and which seeks to recruit converts into the secret cabal (I will not name who has been PM'ing me about this since discretion is the better part of valor-- and if asked, I have never heard of this cabal, lol). I will give it a shot when my SM arrives (in a couple of weeks according to Alex's email today), and if it works I am willing to learn the secret handshake. :)

When did you order? I ordered 13 days ago, got an email reply from Alex saying it'll be another 2 weeks for my SM, due to short staffing. So it'll be a month in all for me assuming the estimate is correct.

Not that I am concerned about it-- I want them NOT to rush to meet production demands. It'll be well worth the wait. But I AM anxious to plug it in, natch.
