I got this beauty in today and it is incredible. Devon just keeps raising the bar with his builds and the tone is very nice. I was nervous about the Nordstrand Big Rigs as I’ve never played them and went on his recommendation. I think I might possibly like these better than my favorite pickups the Nordie DC’s. The B string is the best I’ve ever had or heard in a bass.

Beautiful bass man! The big rigs look really interesting. I got my Devon on Thursday as well. Has big blades in it which I am loving. The bass is better than I could have imagined. I am super happy with it. Might have to get another.

I knew that Blue quilt bass would be great. I played my new Lace Afzelia with the Big Rigs in it this morning at church. That is possibly the best bass I’ve ever had in my hands. The pickups are fantastic and so smooth and even across the whole fretboard. The B string is a cannon with clarity. I’ve akways loved the Nordie DC pickups as my favorite but these are giving them a run for their money. The value you get with these Devon basses are unreal.

I really want to try out the DC's. They may go on in my next one. I also love big splits so its' a tough call for me. Nordstrand has too many great options.

Absolutely stunning build. It sounds like that combination of woods, preamp, and the Big Rigs really work well together. Are those 2-way or 3-way pickup switches?

Played this bass both services today and had people that have never mentioned my playing come up afterwards saying I sounded really good today. This bass is special. I’m really loving the Big Rigs in a full band mix.

That’s a very nice looking bass. Love those pickups.

The Zen Blades are fantastic. I’d describe them as more open than typical humbuckers but smooth too. A real nice balance between typical humbuckers and single coils. Sound balanced up and down the neck.

Chambered Alder body with curly Redwood top. Pau Ferro board.

Best bass I've ever had in my hands is this beautiful Devon Cocobolo. The tone it produces is so growly, tight, and punchy.

I'm going to eventually have a Blue quilt done like yours with a ebony fretboard and Abalone Inlats with DC Pickups. That bass you have is gorgeous.

The blue is incredible. It stands out like no other bass I have owned. Gets a ton of comments from people. The mahogany works very nice with it both visually and tonally. The specs you are talking about will kill I would imagine.

This is mine. I’m currently loving it and it’s making its way into more and more of my Bands sets. I was using it mainly for the modern pop stuff, but it’s super versatile so I’ve been using it for the 90s rock stuff we do also.
