Official Highway One Club

'03 Hwy 1 Jazz...First year they were made. Had it since then...All player wear is natural and done by yours truly. =) Swapped pickups to Seymour Duncan 1/4 lbs. Now has Bartolini Single coils in. Getting ready to swap to dimarzio Js. Switched stock tuners to Grover Titan tuners. Huge upgrade. Significantly better than the stock tuners. Have had all the pots replaced and re-wired due to some careless soldering on my part. Currently wears the '62RI tort guard. Had a badass bridge on for a while, but switched back to the original vintage threaded barrel bridge.

I bought it a little shop here in Nashville back in '03. some of the mods from that pic have been changed. I have since routed a battery box on the back. Moved the jack to the side. Installed a Sadowsky Pre amp. Bartoline 9J1 single coil J pickups. complete set of elephant ear hipshot tuners with d-tuner. I'll try to get some current pics for you later tonight.

mine is a 2006 with stock PU badass 2 and a hipshot drop d tuner nad a handmade ramp between the PU ( now that i have the ramp I can not play without it) i change the wirering of the pot to get a master/blend/tone setup and i love it that way this bass follow me every time on every gig with is sister 5 string deluxe jazz ( with a banana finish) ;) can i get a number?

QUESTION for pre upgrade Highway owners....:hyper:
Does the vintage bridge have the barrel saddles with all the grooves??? I have the badass bridge and although it sounds great it sucks for precise string alignment. I was thinking of getting a Hipshot Fender replacement bridge but they're costly. If anybody has the old style bridge I'll buy it.

nope...just the regular bent-metal fender bridge. If you already have a BadAss, why not just get a file or a Dremel and groove it to your precise spacing? Or sell your non-grooved bridge in favor of a grooved BadAss?
