I currently have two very different models (Left - 2019 Stingray Special; Right - 2007 ceramic Stingray) and either of them could easily be my only bass.

I'd prefer one of these two, but I’m sure I could be completely happy with any Stingray 5HH.

Sorry, but a Freewheeler's "trunk" is a lot smaller than it looks. If you're clever? You might get 2 full face helmets - and a medium-large lady's purse, in there - without breaking something with the hinge mechanism. By itself, a Kala U-Bass would probably fit in there - but there wouldn't be room for anything else that's solid...

Welcome @DeanGallberry you will find that there are as many choices as there are bass players, some with simple needs and others needing more. My one bass is my '82 Carvin LB50 Koa Stereo Bass 'Taz' as it has the tones, playability and sentimental value to make it my main squeeze. Heaven forbid that I must stop playing my other #2 basses.
