Ordering from BassStrings Online? Maybe just me but...

I'm sorry for the delay but one of the sets inventory count was off. It has been corrected.

I agree you should have been contacted. I will make more of an effort in the future.

Your order actually shipped out today.

If I'm reading that right, BSO responded to this post in 4 minutes. Lol...nice. I've only ordered from them once so far, but will continue to do so. I dont know of anywhere else that has such a huge selection and good prices.

BSO is the only place I'll get my strings nowadays. The owner, Jason, can be contacted directly through facebook for info regarding your order and has thus far been a pleasure to deal with. He's a pleasant guy and he rewards frequent/returning customers. I don't see myself changing suppliers any time soon.

I've recently started buying from BSO. Firstly, Jason cares about his business and his customers, and secondly, i'm actually saving a few dollars buying from him and getting them shipped to Australia than buying them locally.

Really? I would love to but shipping plus conversion rates makes it more costly than here in Australia. How are you saving anything?

Over the summer, I placed my first order with BSO and the experience did not meet my expectation. Nevertheless, I might consider giving them another opportunity, due to the fact that my order was cancelled upon request.

Basically, I ordered a set of bass strings that were labeled as in-stock. After approximately 12 days, I did not receive a shipping confirmation or out-of-stock e-mail. Upon further review via my BSO account, the items I purchased were on-order and not in-stock as indicated on the website, at the time of my purchase and order cancellation.

Please feel free to contact me when you would like to try my services again and I will make it up to you.

I went through BSOL for some equipment fairly recently despite it not being in stock cause Jason does deliver that personalized service that warrants repeat services. It took a bit longer than both of us wanted but everything came in due time in perfect condition.

Multiple avenues for communication..
He's seen my random posts in the past on TB regarding strings and called me on the phone for an immediate answer.
Knows who I am when I call. Etc.
What more can you ask for?

That reminds me I need to talk to you soon Jason!

I first heard about BSO years ago right here. I've been ordering strings from BSO for so long that I can't even remember where I used to buy them.

I never spoke with Jason, but I'm sure he's a nice guy and smells great.

I always use JustStrings.com - does PayPal, huge selection, including lots and lots of singles, fast shipping, never a problem - going back at least 10 years. One time I used BSO - he told me about the item but didn't have it in stock - I waited about a week - heard nothing and canceled the order. Don't plan on going to him again.

I think you will be hard pressed to find any negative reviews of bso here. FWIW, their website does let you know what is/is not in stock and gives an estimate of time to shipping. And Jason seems to bend over backwards to do right by his customers. My own experience is that the longest part of shipping is Canada Customs at Pearson airport.

I'd concur. I'm from Canada as well. I've ordered from BSO a couple of times, and been exceptionally happy with their customer service both times.

Your happiness is most important to me! Keep playing!

Would love to have your name so I can look into your order and use that info to improve.

I shop BSO and juststrings. Both are excellent shops, both are competitive in pricing. BSO is more specialized, though, and yes, getting that discount sure makes it easier to choose BSO over the other. Plus, knowing they sell Hipshot stuff at probably the most affordable prices I've seen, I know where I'm going to get my lollipop bass machine heads...

Last time I ordered from that Just site (which was right before I saw the light and switched to Bass Strings Online) they charged me $6.95 to ship one set of strings and it took them a week just to get them out the door to me. Found the same strings at BSO for $4 cheaper AND free shipping and never looked back. Also like his wider selection of singles and custom gauges, as well as amps and pedals.
