For some reason I had the 700 and Bam heads I didn't like them to much. I like the Mark series IV and up the 700 was not bad but the Bam is modeling head and it just did nothing for me but those Cabinets are over the top they must be Loud and have a real nice balanceJayhawk, the 700 has plenty of power even at 8 ohm, I am at only 50% to compete with the guitarist and the drummer, and it's good enough to give me a headache if I don't wear plugs.
Mine did not require the removal of the Triac, did yours?
It seems that the Triac issue with release 1 gave the Tour 700 a bad rep (half of the current reviews or negative because of that), which means they go for around $200 on eBay, I say it's a steal.
Oh yeah, I scored a Bass-Fex pre-amp for $40 at the pawn shop. It seems that all the Pro-Fex and Bass-Fex die after a few years due to the internal battery dying and leaking all over, which can be fixed with a $30 battery-less chip. Although "only" 16 bit, the Bass-Fex is a great pre-amp, and some of the effects are actually pretty awesome (such as the Delay and the Chorus -a good Delay pedal costs more than $100 used).

The other Peavey is the old 300 combo i played one at open mic night and when you wrier on top of it sounded good. This place was long and narrow when you walked in there was a bar and tables then in the back there were a bunch of tables. When you sat in front you can feel that sucker and it just had that sound really distinctive mean in your face sound thats why I love black widows there such great speakers

The Line 6 Bass Pod Pro seems to make everything sound sort of "farty," so if I can't figure out how to fix it with EQ, I'm just going to pull it from the system. I pulled it out of the effects loop the other day and everything cleared up nicely. The T-Max sounds great on its own and I've got pedals to do everything else I want.
I put feet on the ends of the pair of 210 TVX cabs. I also soldered the speaker connectors since I had one that wasn't fully connected a few months back. They are heavy, but they sound pretty good and they fit in my hatchback. And they were cheap.
This rig survived my first gig with only a few minor problems (user error, mostly).

About to go for a Peavey 450 tk pair with an Avatar 12/6 cab. Solid choice? Anyone have any advice on the amp?

We don't talk much anymore since I moved out of Columbus. I think it's at her dad's in Dayton but who knows!

I just picked up the 450 as well. I've paired it with a 410 TVX. It is nothing but awesome! I play a pbass and a tbird through it and it's loud, clear and easy to dial in. I play a little with the octover and it to sounds pretty cool. So far I am very impressed. I hope this helps!

So celebrated Peaveys 50th by unveil ingmy working monument to Peavey...I call it PEAVEY HENGE.
The 212-115 enclosures on the back row, toped by a large horn, were part of the big P.A. system of the day, prior to any of the project one, two or three systems a few years later.
