Jackcrow: Well it certainly is beautiful! I have a couple of natural finish and a white T-40, but none in that pretty "burst" finish. I'd love to own one of those some day. VERY nice!

Agreed...its subtle burst is one of the nicest, i have seen.
Wish my baby had that.

Hello,
I have recently bought a T40 natural finish. Does anybody have some advice on how to take care and maintain the thin satin finish. It needs some love and care after some years in the closet.

And the rest! I'm trying to collect all the finish options from 1982 as that's when I was born... The other 2 aren't from my birth year so they'll be sold on once I find their replacements!

Does the Cruztool fit the 1979 Peavey T40 truss rod?



I cannot find a tool that fits. I never needed to adjust the truss rod, but now I switched to Rotosound Flatwounds I have to make some adjustments.
I orderd the Allparts tool that is mentioned on the forums, but that doesn't fit either.

I had no luck with this one on my Patriot. I tried a couple. You need to order a thin wall 5/16's socket with a small drive. I ended up having to remove material around the nut to get at mine.

Agreed...its subtle burst is one of the nicest, i have seen.

By and large, I don't like bursts, but that I could live with.

What are you guys paying for T-40's these days?

I'm thinking of -gasp- leaving the club as my very-nice '79 just never get's played anymore and I'm ruthlessly thinning the herd. I'm thinking of playing hard ball and trying to get top dollar or just holding onto it until the market goes up.

They’re worth $500+ easily. Unless they have neck issues or non-working electronic parts.

I think i found a anomaly. 1982 essentially unplayed case factory strings mint $450 tax and shipping from GC last month

My 81 T40 in excellent condition was $600 total with shipping.
