I remember seeing this truck in 2004 at Norwalk Ohio's "Night Under Fire". If you're impatient just skip to 2:00. It takes him a while to get staged.

This is probably mine too. I had a white '70 with front and rear spoilers and cold air injection hood scoops. Unfortunately mine was an automatic - Borg Warner built probably the best four speed on the market but also probably the worst automatic. Mine was also a 390 car, but it had been replaced with a later model 304. Since the 390 only got the good dog leg heads in '70 but was also cancelled in '70, they only built them until they ran out of blocks. So I could never find an engine. I still regret selling it though.
the triumph TR7 was upgraded to a soft top and fitted with a scaled down buick v8 engine 3500cc it was the same engine that was fitted to the rover p6 and the later rover sd1 the mgbt v8 and range rover. and the land rover [i had a converted tr7 we fitted the v8 to itI did not realize the TR 7 had a V8 option. That said, I never cared much for the body style compared to other Triumph's models like the Stag.
] the british car company was in trouble at the time [b.m.c ] so they brought out these new cars back in the 70's 80's'ish the rover sd1-triumph tr7/8 the princess /ambassador / morris ital etc to try to save the british motor industry the new cars were 
what can i say more modals were brought out after them. bmw and honda also got involved but it did'nt work the british car industry has all but gone 
mg is now owe'nd by the chinese and seems to be doing ok jaguar is own'ed by tata [indian ] not doin so well and you are right about the stag a great car with its own v8 engine and [im very proud ] made here in coventry

That little 215cc V8 was the bomb, up to 225 factory horsepower. Perfect for the TR7/TR8, it also made a perfect engine to swap into MGBs, Austens, etc. as the 215 and four speed was considerably lighter than the English 4 bangers and trannies. I tried for years to find one but the very thing that made them so light - all aluminum construction - also meant that anything less than pure antifreeze turned the block into something approaching oatmeal. The only decent one I ever found was a '63 Buick Special in restorable shape. A friend bought it for $300 around '77 - to use as a demolition derby car. its a volkswagen karmann ghia i think. a friend has one a hard top fitted with a porsche engineI do really like British sports cars but this car is always at the top of my list.
