Nicer and nicer!

Hey, I think I recognize that walnut inlay... yes?

I don't think so. I found that board at the bottom of a big stack at my local hardwood place. It was the only figured board in the whole stack and with a crotch section too. That's the part I used for the p/g. The accent, the p/g and the covers all come from the same board.

FYI, one of the salesmen told me that the bottom of the stack is where you'll often find the good stuff. Either people get tired of looking or the cabinet makers don't want it 'cause it doesn't match the rest of the stock they're buying. Keep digging!

It started out like this.

You know what you are, Bud?

You are the OCC of Elegant Hod Rod Customs. The design/detail is beyond my vocab.

Someday, sooner than we all want, all the celebs are gonna want you to make them one, even if they arent players, just to hang up in a glass case to say they have their own "Lecompte".

Serious.:D

Bud, Kind of off topic, but I'd like to know.

How's it feel?
I mean, you virtually came out of nowhere, and two years later you're going to NAMM. You've quickly made one heck of a name for yourself! haha

I feel very blessed. I think this has been a long time coming. Finally a lot of things came together very rapidly that put me in the position I'm in know. Sometimes I'll be out in the shop thinking to myself, "I can't believe I'm actually doing it". I know I still have a long road ahead of me, but I feel like I'm really focused and I really want this to work. I really love building and hope the fire stays lit for a long time.
