Oh the humanity! My wife worked all day while I played golf, watched TV and practiced on my bass.
Now she's bringing home dinner but I want pizza and she wants Chinese food.
I can't go on like this much longer.

^ ^ ^ ^ ^If I don't dust (with a Swifter) everyday I can see the dust building up.
The TV in my living room uses an internet connection to display program information on the channels it picks up over the air through the antenna, kind of like old school meets new. For some reason, the spot where the TV sits has always had a problem receiving a clean and clear wifi connection. We could never figure out why. The Roku plugged into the back of the TV doesn't have a problem, and the Blueray player sitting below the TV doesn't have a problem. But it made me mad that I intermittently could not see which episode of Star Trek was coming up on H&I or which SciFi show was playing on Comet. I finally broke down and bought a wifi extender box, plugged it in, set it up, and my TV once again is displaying program information. Thank the Goddess!
The car I really really want costs $190k. When I shake my piggy bank, it ain't quite enough...

Here's what to do. You have pizza and and has Chinese. Simple.Oh the humanity!
We never used to power in my neighborhood up until about four years ago. When it did go off it'd be off for a couple of hours. Then it started going off more frequently for most of a day usually. That's when I bought a generator. The last couple of years I got quite proficient in generator operation. This evening I had a problem that I've not had since I lived in a developing country:
We lost power (inexplicably I might add) for FIVE hours!
Happened often when I was in the Land of Smiles, usually on a rainy night. Sometimes I would go in to work, they were powered by gas turbine generators.
Tonight we just hung out at Mickey D's for a couple of hours, but I sat here in the dark for the last bit & I don't mean figuratively.
We got a false-alarm call from the folks next-door that the power was back on, but when we drove up the guys were still messing around on the pole from a bucket-truck, & Voila!
as soon as we got indoors, POOF!, off again!
Yes, we had false starts in a developing country, as well, LOL!
Wow. I didn't know soldiers made pizza.Pics from a hiking adventure last weekend (old abandoned military fort). The symmetry is not perfect but I hope these ease your pain slightly.

Next you'll be telling us the bayonet was actually a serendipitous invention the soldiers used to see if the pizza was cooked or not.You may have heard of that old encyclopedia of military cooking, written by a prominent Russian gastronomist, “War and Pizza”...
