Nice! I had that amp/cab combo in the late 60s... traded it for a Vox Super Beatle.

I believe it was said that that bass had been refinned early on. I've never seen another with that color myself.

I don't name all my basses, but this one acquired the apellation Bucephylus; though I later learned that is a mis-spelling.

This is a January '65 all original Jazz Bass. Leo sold the factory on January 3, 1965, I believe, so this bass is not technically pre-CBS, but as close as can be. Not for sale. Ever.

I fall in love with it every time I play it, and OF COURSE I TAKE IT OUT TO GIGS.

More '65 goodness. The original owner notched the pickguard and body to allow easier access to the truss rod nut; other than that, it's a completely stock '65. Sounds like ...buttah.
