OK, I hear what you're saying. What you're talking about is the difficult balance of being a genuine man. "Bad boys" are basically immature and selfish, only care about themselves, and use and discard women. "Nice guys" are immature the other way round, put themselves at a woman's complete disposal as though she were their mom and they're mama's boys, and in the process make themselves disposable.
In my opinion, and I may get slammed for this, a mature man is neither of those. He's "nice" in that he treasures and serves his woman. But serving her doesn't make him her servant. He doesn't treat her as his servant or toy, either. Rather, he has his eye on something bigger and better, a greater good for both of them, and he leads them toward that as a unit.
Every woman is different and has her own issues and desires, of course, but insofar as you can generalize, I think that's what a woman wants in a man. Someone who knows how to lead without bullying, and someone who knows how to serve without becoming servile. Someone who has his own life and direction but who can bring her into it as a partner.
+100 You can slice and dice through 7 women a week if you set a "simple lunch the first time" rule. Met my wife online after cutting through a pile of very sad and screwed up ladies. But yeah, you can lay out everything you do and don't do in a personal blurb. Drugs, religion, sex, whatever. Never answer their PM without going and looking at THEIR ad first - make sure it matches up with what you are saying in yours.

By being nice you can KEEP a nice one - but even if you are being nice it is on you to get rid of the ones that are beotchs. And you don't have to be a dick to do that,hopefully. Well, maybe sometimes.
Honestly, I feel like my threshold of nice is ending. I'm basically just doing what I want and seeing if the fish in the tank run to the other side. I'll start my listing of services with Craigslist. Met a church girl. She was in a massive FWB relationship on Facebook she didn't acknowledge.
Also I met this girl who wanted to be both a gospel preacher ("like Joel Osteen") and in a relationship. I mentioned to her online I have my particular interests, she was receptive. Date is a blast, I ask her "so would you ever visit?" Since I drove pretty far to see her and she was talking about getting a car anyhow. Later on she just flipped, sent this email about "compromising everything to give a chance", said "anyone deserving would do _________ to level up", and blocked me. It was at that point I realized, a 35 year old woman wants to be the "perfect hot milf", and any opinions you have you can shove.
Because they're under the impression they'll get preggers quicker. They got their size from "waiting for 'the one'".
I've hung out in bars over six months and nobody ever approached me. All that happened was I quit drinking. True story.

Something like match.com will cost less for 3 month than what one cheap date costs, even if it is a dutch date. You want pictures, you want them to commit to all sorts of lifestyle preferences so you can later throw it in their face, "but you said you wanted an open relationship!" Craigs 
There is no need to go to the bar to meet someone unless you hope to hang out at the bar a lot, in which case it is a common interest. Flip-side is it won't be a place of refuge for you.

Yea by the time I was done with the bar I was better friends with the local metal heads than the girls.
If it's of any consequence to you: more chicks with decent jobs on sites that cost a little to join. It's not like you'll need the little lady to spend all day down at the stream washing your dirty britches, send them to work and let THEM finance their toys.
See, either way that it goes, I'm going to be spending my money. That and I was turned off by Match when I heard they were sending their employees on fake dates to offer up enough business.
