PYPB XXXIII - Effects are STOOPID

Yup, that's a hellborg! Sounds warm but clear. Not using a foot controller at the moment, gonna get a voodoo labs gcx soon, then I can control my analog pedals (on off through midi) AND my daw (not sure if I'll be using ableton live or mainstage) with the soft step. Using the bass compressor as a limiter right now, does the job really well, the meter makes it easy to set the compression level and to see what's happening. To my ears it's pretty transparent and quieter than my Trex Squeezer, which cost more.

My final board as my rule is that if I cant fit any more in this box then chances are I dont need it. There is practically no sound this board cant make! (at least that I would want) Everything compliments everything!

Love the GR's effects loop that way you use your clean signal to trigger the filter (with your own dynamics) and then the envelope goes in between whatever is in the effects loop: fuzz> filter with MY dynamics....WIN!

Place the OC-2 first for 99.9% flawless tracking (if I play right). The wooly mammoth clone hates active but doesn't mind buffered pedals (no active for me). The FZ-2 (univox super fuzz clone) is also used for a clean boost to allow the BSY-600 to track flawlessly. The BSY along with the GR, BSW and Red Ripper cover ALL my synthy needs. All of those fuzzes compliment each other well. POG2 to octave divide (digitally and flawlessly) anything. EBS DPhaser allows some movement and adds to the synthy nature of everything. (drilled holes in the back to access all the options i.e.: 4-6-8-10-18 step phasing, LPF, triangle or sine wave). Wrong Side is an awesome bit-crusher,ring modulator and dirty tremolo (see synthy madness).I must have gotten lucky because I hear VERY little tone coloration with my 105Q, love wah-wah at the near end of the chain! The Morley controls whatever volume spikes (hard limiter) and for awesome volume swells. El Capistan and DD-7 covers ALL my delay needs (tape monster without maintenance headaches...WIN!)

In conclusion....LOVE MY BOARD! :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist:

awesome boards here! Dig the rack and the multi-fuzz monstrosity! Here's my newly re-arranged PT-Pro. Same ol' stuff, but more of a standard "pedal-board-y" "all-in-a-row" configuration.

The Empress Tremolo is very nice. If you want classic, warm - easy up, easy down volume dips and swells - the triangle and tube settings will do you good (these settings beg for reverb). Want more subtleness- ease back on the depth nob- its much like a dry blend. If you want that on-off choppiness that sounds great after fuzz- crank the depth knob and use the square wave setting- this thing cuts hard. The rhythm settings are cool for accenting different peaks in the up down pattern, but I usually keep it on the standard evenly-accented setting. The gain knob is a cool feature for making up for the apparent volume drop trems have- just keep in mind that just because it sounds quitter- I think its a trick your brain plays on you because you are only hearing half as much sound because its an on and off effect- but durring its on-time, its full blast, so be careful boosting trems that are stuttering an already loud fuzz pedal. Oh- and the tap is the reason I bought it- its a nice feature.

The Boss CS-2 is stock, early-80's. I use it because of its sound- warm and squishy- not for its transparent, clean-cut dynamic range management ability. Its not a transparent comp. It does seem to cut low end, but nothing that can't be corrected at the amp (or Sansamp). At Sustatin settings past 12 there's a bit of noise- but I view it as sort of a low-gain(distortion) boost pedal, so my noise expectations are set appropriately. It runs on the old ACA type power- so I power it up with a 12v output from a Voodoo ISO5.

If you're referring to my board, the oxide is before the xerograph in the signal chain! Arranged it that way physically because of the jacks.sorry for the confusion!
