The man is always on guard and has an answer for everything.Hope all goes well for you.
I have had email correspondence with John Hall for having the utter temerity to ask for advice about a finish issue. Midnight blue finish with the paint bleeding into the binding. I did state from the start that my bass was out of the warranty territory and that completely became the issue for him.
Does the re-finish mean that your new finish is guaranteed for another full year or is the "old" warrantee still in effect?

Hi _______,
It would still be the original warranty on the finish, a new warranty would not have started. Please let me know if there is anything else that I can assist you with.
Take Care,
Kind of what I expected.
Man, they really hate standing behind their work, don't they?

I can understand that to a certain extent however the more I hear of Ric customer (lack of) service and their (lack of) backing of their product the more I am convinced that the purchase of a Ric will never happen for me.
Hey Wolf.... I don't have the patience to read 21 pages of posts. (Bad on me).... When you expect to see your bass?
Hot dang.... Be anxiously awaiting a happy report
Sigh, I guess that's RIC's prerogative. They fixed the one, I'm thankful for that. .............
I'm just glad my bass is finally coming home.
Unfortunately, that is a common policy for a lot of things, anything more is usually down to the good will of the company.
Some excel at customer service, others not so much.
You're lucky it happened within the year warranty period as opposed to later, and that shipping must not be overly expensive for you.
If something had happened to mine, I would have to live with being this far away from California.
And it's very good to see it's on it's way back.
Hopefully no more issues.![]()

All input jacks work, the vintage knob functions correctly, and the pup selector switch works. Everything is perfect. I honestly couldn't be happier.
