My 4x10 is a sweet cabinet, I always thought my basses sounded like individuals through it, nice crisp highs, punchy in the midrange and good low end. Problem was I had to turn the tweeter control almost all the way off, turn down the high end on the amp and cut it on the bass; just too much on the high end for my taste. The Schroeder doesn't have this problem. What is does is lots of thick bottom that isn't muddy. My jazz really comes through the mix, and at low volumes too. Articulate, clean and with lots of muscle in the lower registers and a defined sound that isn't lost on the upper part of the fretboard. This is what struck me the most; clear power, and cut anywhere you play. No dropouts or 'lost' notes. Jorg has a winner, a truly 'tuned' cabinet.
What people haven't mentioned (except maybe for SMASH?) is the value here. You get a great combination of features, including size, power, great sound, excellent quality, a f@#%in' ten year warranty to the original owner for $599 shipped. I REPEAT, FIVE FREAKIN' NINETY NINE SHIPPED! You can (and have from the length of this thread) talk all day about specs and power ratings and response curves. The point is there are all kinds of speaker manufacturers that make good products. If they didn't no one would buy them and they wouldn't be in business. IMHO, this a solid, professional quality product, with the potential for wide appeal to working bass players everywhere. Is it the best ever? I don't know, I'm not an expert and I haven't tried everything. Someone will surely buy one and not like it. But I think most players will want to keep it.

My only issue is that I'm not used the the size yet. My other rig has the 4x10 on the 1x15 so it's closer to my head and I can get a good stage sound. If you like your sound, you play better. The 1210, if sitting on its rubber feet, is down low and I haven't gotten comfortable with the stage sound yet. I have had musicians/bassists/fans tell me it sounds great out in the audience so that's a plus. I'll have to keep experimenting with stage placement.
Any of you are welcome to come to my house and try it as much as you want.

I don't see how you will need two. If you need that much volume, you should probably be going through the PA. Or buy the 410 or one of the bigger cabs.
