Schroeder Cabinets ... smart design = very compact ! (regular and lights)

You mean no plans to use 15" drivers, right? If so, you got me all worked up and excited for a minute :crying:

I hear you there! I refer to my law practice as my "back up gig." It really gets my father (also an attorney) going. :p Having a musical outlet has certainly helped to maintain my sanity and peace of mind. But in truth, my practice is actually going quite well. I have some truly great staff working for me right now, and I think that makes all the difference, no mattter what type of work you do.

Seeing that picture really helps me appreciate just how compact these cabs are. Very impressive! Once Jorg gets some neo's going, they're going to be flyweight marvels!

Yup. 800w at 4 ohm, 1,000w at 2 ohm. That is one thing I really love about my iAMP 800. This gives you flexibility to bring along just about whatever cab combination you would want. It is not stereo, though.

I also agree that as good as the iAMP 800 (or any head, for that matter) can be, you just can't beat the headroom that you get out of a rack rig with a monster power amp. I have a PLX 3002 (3,000w into 4 ohm, bridged mono), and it really makes a difference, so long as you use caution and don't push the speakers beyond their limits. Still, for a compact package, the iAMP 800 is pretty darn impressive.

Hello All,
OK, well I will start with Jorg. He is very cordial and professional, and really cares about his product. Brian from the Lowend was also a pleasure to deal with.
OK, now on to the cab. I played 5 gigs with it over the last 4 days. 2 of them were weddings, 7 piece, and 9 pice band, and 3 club gigs, 7 piece, and 5 piece band. Equipment used for all of the gigs;

Bass- Fodera Monarch 4 string Standard.
Head- Eden WT-550, 500 watts @ 4 Ohms
Effect- Digitech Synth Pedal used exclusivly as an octave pedal.
Cabinet- 1010, 2x10" with horn tweeter, 700 watts @ 4 Ohms.

As I unpacked the cab from it's shipping box, I immediatly fell in love with the size and weight, very easy to carry with one hand. So, I get to my first gig and set up my rig and play a little, (all controls on the Eden were flat, except the bass control 2 clicks past center. Bass flat pick up pan 2 clicks off center favoring the back pick up). The cab seemed to be giving me everything that I wanted to hear, tight and clear bottom, and smooth mids and highs. The keyboard player, and drummer were standing in my immediat area, both of them were amazed with what they were hearing. So, I thought OK, I have a winner but I still needed to hear it with the full band playing to see how it was going to fit in. Well, I was all smiles, I heard myself so clear, I could even hear the slight fret buzz. The one thing that impressed me the most is that even when I was 10 feet away from the cab it maintained it's solid foundation and clarity.
So, for my situation the cabinet is all that I could want in a very compact package. For reference I was using an Eden 2x10 XLT cab in the past. The 1010 IMO sounded as full as the Eden, with more projection, and clarity.
In conclussion, I am very pleased with every aspect of this cab. And with the support I know I will receive from Jorg, I am happy to be part of the family.

What I really want now is a set of 4. Will I be able to justify getting another set? I don't think it's humanly possible. Nevertheless, I can still dream. I'll have to see how big these are; I'm not a very good judge of size or volume. I'm really curious as to how they'll fit in a car/truck... 2 Eden 4x10XLT's are easy to fit in the back of a station wagon, but one Avatar 2x12? That was a pain.

Im curious what you guys consider loud.

I jammed with an Ampeg 8-10 and a 900 watt QSC poweramp that was hitting very light clipping at times against a guitarist with a 100 watt tube Rivera half stack and it was reasonable though loud (big room). I could see this being the case at many clubs I would be playing in with the band.

What kind of setup with these cabs would you say compares?
