What's the Buzz?

Tell me what's a happening

Nice spread at booth #2050 Anyone checked it out yet?

Separate subject:
Does anybody besides me find the yellow color of the Schroeder placard kind of ugly?
The design is OK, I just feel the yellow doesn't match the asthetic overall look of the cab. Kind of makes it look budget/cheap.
I think white or, better yet, silver would have been a better looking color choice. Even red would be better. Just my opinion.

I'm sure I want two of the "small box" (probably the 1010's) in the future, but that yellow placard will have to come off. (Besides, the name is already on the speakers ;) )

Judging by this pic, he's changed the position of the high end driver on the "small box" cabs from middle-right to upper-right. I wonder why. :hmm:

Actually he'd talked about moving it before I ordered mine.

and I've also talked with Jorg about that... my only gripe with my cab is the painted metal tag. I recommended something cast... the Yellow with the Blue hint of the carpet is nice IMO, it's just the type. It reminds me of old EHX effects (actually like the new ones too).

(PM or email me your address again I'll get a new MO out to you... The Mrs found the receipt tab and is gonna try to get the cash back)

I like it.

Unique & highly recognizable.

mine is a 1210 (12" + 10" in same cabinet) < 50lbs 4 ohms

I think it far exceeds the Bagend S12 and S15 (what the Avatar compact wishes they were) rig I use to run and is about 2/3 the weight... It's as punchy (if not more) + fuller, deeper and cleaner.

Current price is on the website Link Removed I know they are going up a little after NAMM and are going to be sold through dealers then too

Yes, but you have not heard a Bagend S15B-D. It's pretty much what you describe minus "punchy." I wonder how the 1210 compares against that.

I believe someone has ordered an 8 ohm cabinet... I could be wrong though

There are currently now plans using 15" woofers in the Schroeder cabinets. 12" woofers in these days can go as low as 15" while being tighter and focused.

Furthermore, due to the long waiting list we don't have any plans as of yet releasing any 8 ohm cabinets, which IMO is honestly not necessary. One 410 or 21012 is loud enough for outdoor events (also according to 410 and 21012 users).

Thanks everyone. Tomorrow I'll be on my way to the Dallas/Ft. Worth GTG :D

Sincerely,

Jorg

single driver big cab Bagend vs. a dual driver 1210... a complete guess would be it wouldn't. The big 15 with a single 12 on it (4 ohm total load) *might* compare but at 2x the weight and an extra piece to haul around.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVED my Bagend's to death... but before rebuying them I looked around at the new boutique stuff (in 91-92 when I bought my Bagends... not much else that I knew was in that class). I just almost got an NV series cab... I liked Jorg's better.

Is the 1210 as loud as say... a 4x10?

I think so, if not close enough to count

How are the tweeters in these cabs? I hate fosters.

I HATE fosters. I turn them off completely if forced to use them and only buy cabinets without... I keep the Schroeder knob at about 1/3 to 1/2... it's nice!

Thanks for the clarification Jorg

My BSE 410 HLF is just too much to move now a days, but I need a cab of equal volume, and general punch and low end, but much lighter than 91 lbs.

The Schroeders have very sweet sounding titanium horns, no Fosters here.

The 21012 weighs ~ 74lbs., the 410 78lbs.
