Sweet board -- dig how you have all rear-wired pedals in such a tight configuration.
Two Qs: Who makes the Utility Knife? And what's the blue pedal on the far right?

I have a conundrum for the TB community to solve - since I've gone back and forth with this quite a bit.
I play in a Chili Peppers tribute and we fly to most of our shows, so a compact board is a must. I'm on the fence about bringing what I consider expensive pedals in checked baggage...fearing loss, theft or damage - instead choosing a less expensive, possibly less good sounding board with me on travel dates.
Here's what I'd like to bring:

Here's what I think I would be okay losing on the road:

B1On would be in the LS-2 loop and cover all OD/DIST/FUZZ/ENVELOPE, and the MS-60b is my always-on limiter, high-pass filter and noise gate.
Love to hear your thoughts on travel dates.
PS - If Zoom made a B3 with an expression pedal or a B3N with expression - or the Tech21 Bass Fly Rig didn't have some issues - or a Fractal FX-8 wasn't completely overkill...I would absolutely prefer a multi solution.
I cannot give a fair comparison. I love the MXR though. I wanted to add the Ictineo but it had a slight noise when added to my signal chain. Fine for a gig but we are working on the second album and it would not have been OK in the studio. The PO of the Ictineo reported no noise so it could have been my setup. I am in a "good place" right now with my board and bass and cab. I guess I will need to just go play now instead of shopping! Ha!@9mmMike how would you compare the Ictineo to the MXR bass preamp?
The MS-60B has a decent enough tuner in it, why have a dedicated tuner? Just curious.
Also, I would bring the expensive board, lol. It looks amazing.
Greetings!
I’m looking to buy a Black bird feather board like yours to house my pedals for my Moog but I wanted how you mounted the on/off switch as well at the light? It looks awesome! I noticed a little metal plate but I really can’t see how you attached it to the board. I’m probably only gonna have about 4-5 pedals and your setup is perfect for what I’m looking to do. Did you put any 1/4” in/out jacks on the side or there not enough room? I would greatly appreciate any help!
Dennis
The aluminum plate is actually the plate that comes with the pedalboard with the Blackbird logo on it. I used a step bit to drill the holes for the switch and light, flipped the plate over and sprayed it satin black, then attached the plate with four black Phillips head screws. With everything crammed in underneath I couldn’t fit any jacks. It was a pita to get everything to fit under there. I took it apart and put it back together many, many times trying to get everything to fit. If you zoom in on the center pic in your post above you should be able to see the Phillips head screws.
