My 07 Harley VRSCDX

How does it ride? I've thought about possibly getting one, but I don't know anyone who has one of these and their thoughts on the bike.

I rode an early V-Rod, briefly for some cable TV motorcycle show. I didn't care for it. Not too fast, ran out of revs quickly, bars too high, pegs to low/forward. Less sucky than the Sportster, but not my cuppa tea. I like screaming Japanese fours, with low bars, and high/rearset pegs. In fact the bars on my CBR600f2 are lower than stock, and the pegs higher, more rearward.

If you want a Harley, with some modern technology the V-Rod may be a good fit.

This aren't exactly mine, they belong to my father, but its a super sweet collection. Here's my favorite, the Peanut Butter BMW R75/5 aka "Peanut Butter Toaster"

Here's a shot of part of the collection. Most bikes are covered, but in there from memory are a few BMWs, Moto Guzzi (Mainly different LeMans models), the Norton Commanda 750 Fastback, and the Ducati that I can't remember the model of. Supposedly about 65 in the US.

I will have a collection like that at some point in time.

It rides great, but it just depends on what you're looking for.

It's fast for an all-steel 750+lbs bike, but won't run with the sportbikes, especially in corners. It can hold it's own stoplight to stoplight because it has a launch and torque advantage. Gearing tops it out at just over 130mph so, again, it's not gonna make high speed runs with those bikes.

Runs the quarter in just over 11 secs depending on rider, trapping at about 117mph.

My wife has one just like it but with mid controls, and with a 180 rear instead of a 240 (and gloss paint instead of flat). Her's is setup way better for hard riding.

Here's another angle of mine with stock bars. My current bars are straight drag bars, so they are lower now.

I do really like the look of your bike. I'm not looking for something to run with the sport bikes, so that's not an issue. I've sat on a bunch of the v-rods and I like the feel, but I've never taken one for a spin. Thanks for the info!
