I’ve got around this by having MIDI commands to choose model type and under-the-hood parameters and then I hit save on the Hub to store it.

This is good news, however it is not clear from the Gemini's manual or the SA Gemini's web page that this is how it works. From the wording...it looks like you only get three presets capacity. Green zone remembers the original preset settings and the red zone is the same three presets, but allows the patch to remember current user settings from the 4 dials. The wording for the Aftershock is a lot more clearer in the manual and on the SA Aftershock's web page. You should be making more of that feature in my opinion.

This is an artifact of history. The modulators came first and some guy named Gibs picked up a Vertigo. He and others wanted more presets than 3 on the toggle and 1 in Red Mode. So, we added 3 in Red Mode and called it "Gibs mode" internally. It was a fixture on the distortions, so it made it into the manual. I am surprised its not in the Gemini manual. That should have been updated.
The trouble we get into is our constant quest to make each new thing (such at the C4) much better than what came before in the same format (True Spring). Sometime we can go back and add things to the previous products....and sometimes not.

Yahoo, having fun (stress?) playing with my EQ2 and I did break down and get the Neuro Hub too but I have a few days before it arrives. That's cool, since I have utterly no idea what I'm doing I have time to explore the EQ. So maybe next week I'll configure the new gear with my C4 and transition it to my board. Maybe, if I'm smart enough, I can even replace my tuner! I'm sure I'll dig through the EQ2 as quickly as the C4 but for today I'm just treading water learning that section of the app.
I'm happy enough with my DMC Micro with the C4 so I'll probably use that with the Hub unless I need more features.
So now I'm curious about the mod effects. I love chorus and sometimes flanger. I really like the Julia chorus for it's range but it's a little noisy. Should I consider switching to the Source chorus?

I haven’t gotten deep into it yet, but I have the phaser (which is the same as the chorus on the inside and takes their patches) and I love the phasing sounds so far. Buy one where you can return it. Try it out. I think it’s pretty promising.

So I went to the SA website today to finally start playing with community pre-sets and stuff, and could not find a way to create an account for myself there. What's the secret?

Yes, you’ll need to leave one slot blank while rearranging so you can shuffle stuff. I put in a request to Jesse about draggable presets a while back so it’s on the radar.
