Southampton Pedals show some love thread!!

If you think one Fifth Gear on its own sounds good, you REALLY need to try two of them stack together. Deeeeeeeeelicious!
Had one for 3 weeks now and it's on more and more, usually boosting at no drive, slight heat. I can see the virtue of having 2, just so that one would run hotter, I'm always trying different settings. Of course Mini into 5th Gear is 100% usable. I'll retest that though the other way around.

Would love if the dirty section of the ATE2 could be more selectable, if you could have it on one channel and not the other instead of only none or both.
My understanding is that it is one channel or the other. One gain setting, two volumes, switch between them. You can't have both at the same time (I presume that will be available on the forthcoming Ten Speed).

I may be misunderstanding what you're asking for.

Hey Noylin!

For example, I would use one knob of the ATE as a master volume (one of my basses has less volume than is optimal for my dirt pedals), the other knob I would use as a boost (simply more volume). I would love to be able to choose whether the second knob, the boost, is clean or dirty without effecting the first knob. Does that make more sense?

Gotcha

If the Ten Speed has two separate gain and volume controls, you'll be just about there

I've played Fifth Gear -> Mini extensively, and can confirm that it sounds outstanding. :)

I seem to have misplaced my old pancake patch cables, but here's the rear view of my tall boy V2 Fifth Gear set up with a OneSpot, a Rapco "L" and a chunky D'addario instrument cable:

Room to spare!
