I think that is a Euro. The older NS-5's that had the 4 knobs said "SSD" on the headstock if I am not mistaken and this one has the Double S logo. The newer NS-5's had the 18v circuit which has 3 knobs so it's definitely not one of those. Plus, the Kramer NS-5's had the headstock like the 4 string Spectors have now and not the traditional 5 string USA/Euro headstock so I am calling this one a Euro :)

Yep...just got the picture finally. I believe you guys are right about it being a Euro-5LX. I went to the SPECTOR site and compared pics. Once again, a mislabeled bass! Go figure!:scowl: :mad: I was going to buy it today if it was a real NS-5. :crying:

Hey, if anyone sees a Legend 5 custom FS at a nice low price...let me know please. I'm SASing for a 5er! Always wanted to try one of those. :bassist:

There's one in our classifieds , but he hasn't posted pics . And it's sale only or I would have offered my ns2a .

I have to setup my rig, but I have to say that the NS4 is a very versatile instrument, very comfortable to play, and the sound is really punchy and growly.

The only issue is that's pretty heavy compared to other basses I have, but I can afford this.

That's great! I had a feeling they would love it, considering my $400(USD) bass blew a $1800(USD) warwick thumb bass out of the water. What basses were you playing before hand? Oh, and I highly recommend you get the Spector comfort strap, it's fantastic. :)

+1, I like my $400 Spector better than my Japanese Fender Aerodyne that cost about twice that. And the comfort strap is a great strap.

Actually playing a Warwick RB Corvette $$ 5, an Ibanez Ergodyne EDB-605 (that's heavy too), an Epiphone Rockbass, and the Fender Jazz Aerodyne (traded for the Spector).

Oh, and I highly recommend you get the Spector comfort strap, it's fantastic. :)

Actually I'm using a clone of the comfort strap, I will take a look on it (do you have a link?)

So far everything I've bought from GC has been as advertised and I'll talk over the phone asking pointed questions for the main areas that as a bassist that receive the most abuse. I've usually will have them plug it in and play it over the phone too. Every bass I've bought has been in better condition than expected. Especial the Ian Hill...like new! For fraction of cost.

I'd say it depends on the sound you want (although, personally, I wouldn't pair the 410 with the 15). The 810 doesn't go as low as the PR-410HLF (IMO), but the 810 is really great for mids and bringing out the Spector growl.
Because I like playing funk a lot, I would probably go for the PR-410HLF, sell the 15, and get a second PR-410HLF.
Granted, my back would be split in half if I ever tried to move em--just my 2 cents.

1 vote for the 810.
.....or the 410hlf by itself is probably pretty good.


In my opinion the 115 is NOT a good match with the 410hlf cab.
I use the 115 with the 410he which is a better match.
2 identical 410s are probably best, or get the 810 and don't worry about it. Of course you can listen for yourself and tell us what you think.

...I just noticed the Ampeg PR-410HLF is 4 ohms and the 15en is 8 ohms......I don't think you want that.
