Awesome comparisons! Personally I like the tone of the NT best. The BO had a great tone also.
Variety is the spice of life. If we're talking active EMG's in a Spector then I'd probably match that the Hazlab preamp.

The key word,"usually"...I've been waiting for my SVT-810e to be shipped from Nothern Indian to Michigan since 12/30/2011! So I call the GC store today to find out what's the hold up? Aaaaah, it has to go UPS freight because of its size & weight. A duh! Ya think?!?! So they say it's scheduled for next week...:scowl:

BassGiant has one.... but now that you mention it... if I find some pups at a good price I WILL buy the MM one, I forgot all about that.

I'm probably going to hold off selling my Euro 6LX-EX until I get the Forte 6 LE. I don't want to be without a Spector 6 for months plus I want to give the used market here time to breathe. Thankfully I can absorb the deposit and second payment without having to sell. I may move my Quantum 5 sooner to help pay for it.
Congrats on the fortes! Also I'm seeing about someone picking up a speaker cable for me while i am away for the weekend so hopefully I can play through my new rig on Sunday
Thanks for the comments and video, the bass sounds great! I can really see what you mean about a better low end, I think that's what this bass is lacking a bit of at the moment.
I really liked the song too, nice playing. I think I have the 5-string version of your bass and my brother has the 7-string version of your guitarist's guitar, haha.
Time to start looking for a tonepump and some new pickups used...

Glad it helped thanks for the compliments.... It's funny neither of us have those guitars anymore I have a couple different spectors now and he has moved on to LTD but I got him thinking about spector guitars
You're welcome, I've also tried to get my brother to try Spector guitars but he only seems to be interested in 7-strings now...

yeah.. i dont know any guitar players under 30 that want to use a 6 anymore lol
I've talked to PJ about some 7s.. but its not a project they wanted to purse at the time
It seems odd that they wouldn't, seeing as how Spector basses are probably most widely used in modern rock/metal type settings (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong), and 7+ string guitars are becoming more and more popular in those bands from what I've seen.
If not a 7 then at least a 6er baritone? I agree that Spector is missing out on a chunk of the metal market by not catering to the low-tuners. If and when they release a 7 or bari 6, I'll be all over it.

I think it will be hard to break into the guitar world, which is probably why they just now have started making more models. With bass you only have a few die hard brands with guitar its a lot worse. I know I would have to play a spector guitar before I got rid of my les pauls and it would be a hard sell.....

Regardless I don't think the addition of a 7 or bari would be that taxing to add to the lineup and as far as bari guitars, I'm seeing a few more on the market but I'd still like to see more brand choices and a Spector Arc with that configuration would pique my interest.
