The facebook live clips sound good. Look forward to hearing the album.
Cool - thanks. Those are actually from right before I joined, so the bass is definitely 'upgraded'.

Those clips were literally the first and second gigs ever for the band.

Of course you are entitled to your opinion.... Where did you have the trim set at? I've never heard anyone say the TP was lacking in bottom end....
This^^ the TP is the most misunderstood pre out there IMO.... it is a lot to handle if you don't take the time towine and dine it lol
Although the center detent thing is I think where most people really don't like it.

Seeing that 9v's are going to be a while to get to market, I will get plenty of time to "wine and dine" it. As far as the bottom end goes it is lacking compared to my Kramer and the Kramer is near perfect flat. Slight bass boost and treble cut and it's there. I like my amp settings to be flat and get my sound from the bass. After I change out the strings maybe "it's nuts will drop".![]()

It's like a good folk metal meets British Invasion sound. Two of my favorite listening choices.
Here's the tone I'm Going for... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EbGCefIB8nY
And I can get that sound almost exact with my jazz bass (modern player) but I want so bad to love this Spector. The amp I'm using is a MarkBass TTE500 and Ampeg 610hlf if anyone cares.

Thanks man. Mine has been in the works for a little while - I'm pretty picky about photos so I kept putting off posting about it until I had a good promo shot. I took some with the band in August but thought I looked like **** LOL. I've recently lost about 20 lbs so time to take pics again!
PJ has been great to deal with for sure.

As some of you know or may have figured out already I have purchased NS-2 #800 that was recently shown at BPL. It has arrived today one day earlier then expected.
The bass is just more stunning and amazing in person. As those who know me I am not posting this as a Look what I got type post but rather just looking to share the excitement of being given the opportunity to be the owner of this amazing work of art designed by Stuart. For those who feel they may never own a USA made Spector, you may and you will one day. Just 2 years ago, I didnt think I would be alive 2 years later to have such a special day in my life. Before I got my Forte last year I would never imagine owning even one USA Spector.
Of course owning this bass did come with selling my cherry Euro and some other personal items, no family vacation, some unneeded credit card debt and barrowing some money from a friend. But when everyday of your life is a gift and a 2nd chance . it is all worth it.
I have named the Bass The Pulse as it is resembles a strong heart and pulse that playing Spectors has given me the opportunity to have again.
I am still in shock and will be posting some sound clips soon. As expected, it sounds incredible. As far as the neck, It is not as thick front to back and not as flat as the Forte, but it is thicker then the Kramer NS-2 but not as round. So its almost a perfect mix of both.
I did venture out to find the UPS driver and actually followed him around to a few of his major store stops since his truck had 388 boxes on it this morning. But after his 5th big store delivery, I saw that Spector box and he was able to grab it out for me. I will be buying him a coffee gift card this week.
P.S. I have officially knighted newly endorsed Spector Artist Seventhframe Omer as Pimp Jr. as he was the one who kept talking me into doing this. He calls it payback. lol
I just took these 2 photos since none can match the ones that Patrick has already taken.

Slapinfunk - said hello briefly at your booth at Bass Player Live. You were in the middle of eating a sandwich, lol.
I'd like them to release the Rebop 4 & 5 with the colours they're planning for the MM.
I'd KILL for a Rebop 5DLX in Bahama Blue with a maple board!

Awesome, the clips sound great, I think I'll really like it. Any talk about price compared to the standard rebop?
I believe someone said, suggested retail price $2600.00? Is this correct? But I'm sure you'll be able to buy it for less, as normally.

I personally like oiled finishes, here is a American Schecter that I had for 30 years, I probably rubbed it down twice in that time which means I spent less than an hour on this finish in 30 years.
Nothing like the feeling of wood and I believe oiled finishes would last several life times and the oil is not just oil I believe it has a sealer also like shellac mixed in.
This bass has probably 500 gigs and 100 hours of studio time on it and with the exception of where my right arm laid, the finish it is like new.
And if it gets dented you can steam the dents out provided the grain is not ruptured.

Whoa! Beautiful Natural Spector! Congrats!USA Spector INCOMING!!
Been sitting on this for a few days, but it looks like it's official. This baby is on it's way to me. Hopefully it will make the perfect companion to my NS-5H2MM! Man I love the less curved body of the USA Bolt Ons.

Verry Nice! What pre amp is in that?
Congrats!
Hey just wanted to say thanks for all the well wishes.
More importantly, it occurred to me that I could have picked a better time to mention my status rather than "piggybacking" on Omer's announcement - I typed that reply to his post without thinking, and after the fact it made me think I was stealing Omer's thunder which was not intentional at all. So apologies to you Omer for having to share the spotlight - I know that's a special announcement. I hope I didn't ruin it for you.

Don't sweat it man, I didn't even think of it that way at all!! The only thunder I have is that of the Spectors I own!
It was a perfect day for good news, our endorsements and Sam's new NS-2, I can't think of a better day!

Since we had a big discussion on the Tone difference between Matte vs Gloss. Listen to the following clip then answer the survey below to to guess which was the Matte and which was the Gloss
Answers are confidential. It will be interesting how many of us can tell the difference.
One clip is the Woodstock Matte Forte-4 the other is the Woodstock Gloss NS-2. Both have 9v USA circuits in them.
Same Dunlop Steel strings, all bass and recording settings equal.
