Right now it looks like I'm going to go with the GK mb800, I have a Hartke bass attack pedal coming, I'm going to look for a compressor (suggestions welcome), flanger (I've heard the Boss one works well) and maybe an octave pedal... I'm not too sure yet.

I really like the Aguilar TLC compressor, useful controls, and it's fairly transparent. If you want a compressor that colors your sound a bit, te markbass compressore is fairly well liked from what I understand.

I have one and I'm not sure going to a master volume and pan will work on the TW pickups. The individual volumes are push/pull for humbucker/single coil. I don't know squat about wiring stuff so I'm probably wrong.

Told you guys, the MMBop stoked my SAS... but I couldn't wait for it. Just bought a like new Euro 4LX - the natural one with the really nice quilt top that's been on the bay. Been watching it for a while and got him to work with me on the price. I love the natural look and that bass was calling me. I'll get pics up as soon as I get it.

My Black Zebop 5DLX will be hitting the classifieds soon. I'm just not playing the 5 at all since I got back into 4's. Hit me up if anyone is interested. It's still like new.

A Zoom B3 will give you all three, plus a lot more. You can have three effects going at once. Plus, it has a sampler/sequencer.

If you want colored compression go with the markbass compressore. Its pretty darn cool and is tube driven.

The older Boss BF-2 works well with bass and they did make a bass flanger also.

I have a first GEN EBS octaver...I like it. I also have the boss oc-2.....it works also.

I'll be on the lookout for the mb800 and will report back as soon as I buy one...I'm looking to go with a modular pedal board, moving away from rack stuff. Something I can fly with, only a few pedals. My thought is, that way I can use my stuff (even the amp) through any backline cab I may come across.

I definitely want a transparent compressor, I'm not compressor master, but I can use them... I've used some really nice ones. my default for pedals has been MXR in the past... good middle of the line pricepoints and great quality. I'll check out all the stuff suggested.

I guess I am still in my JC fanboy phase? Not sure, I'm not trying to copy his tone or sound, I use an Ampeg rig and a Spector.
But I do love the range of sound-scape that the pedals give me.
We've been working hard on new songs with Winter Of Freedom and one song in particular has a very distinct mood, I use the Chorus and the Tremolo in parts then the M-80 dirt channel on the rest as I always use.

In any case, news from here (aside from raining non stop);
We're playing this "festival" of sorts tonight with about 12 other bands at a pretty cool venue, should be fun. Short set list.
Auditioning yet ANOTHER drummer on Monday. As a favour to me, a friend of mine who playing in a band called 3 Inches Of Blood here locally has agreed to help us out on shows from now on when he's not busy on tour and if we haven't found a drummer yet so that is great news, he's an incredible drummer and a great person.

It depends if it's an actual Euro 4LX or a CRFM (commonly mistaken for a Euro). All Euros have zinc-alloy bridges while CRFMs have brass (both are/were made in the Czech, but the CRFMs are older). An easy way to tell is to see if it's shiny and says Spector, otherwise, it's the matte brass one. ;)
