Does anyone know the value/detailed specs on this bass?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spector-Bolt-on-Bass-Guitar-/261183891787?pt=Guitar&hash=item3ccfc5e94b

It's described as a "08' Strap-on NS-1," but that's about it. I'm not looking to buy it (though I have lusted for a few basses in this forum), but I was goofing around eBay and noticed it looked nice (granted he only put up three pictures of it).
Not an "NS1".
"Strap-on"?!? What the.....?!??

Anyway, just a Legend. They can be found all day long, used, for about $100 less than that opening bid.

Yeah, I get ya Lee, and its not even crooked teeth, its an overbite.......

Unfortunately telling the wife that might go over poorly........child support and Alimony will cost me a HELLUVA lot more than a used NS-2.......so.........unfortunately for me and my selfish desires........It's going to have to wait..........

Unwed or single bassists.......read about this.........consider it my contribution to birth control........ta dah! :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist::eek:

Lol. Good advise.

that is the reason i dont buy one. my situation with being happily married far outweighs an ns-2 :hiding:

Well, Im a dean club member. Might as well hop over here. Just bought a special I think it is? 5 string from a pawn shope today. Love the tone. friggin guitarists just love to tune down, cause after all who needs to hear the articulation of the strings from the bassist right? This puts an end to that.

Looks like a Q5-Pro, as I believe the legend 5's are more rounded not flattop, could be wrong tho other members are more familiar with the bolt on models than I am

Believe me...if I was working right now you would already have a buyer...if it is still here this summer I will be MORE than interested in it! :bassist:

I plan on buying at least one older NS-2's as well as a Forte 4 this summer/fall...and I also have a custom NS-5H2 that I want to order at some point...

Well the way it's been going it probably will still be here in the summer. Just can't afford to lose my shirt on it - I'll have to keep it if I can't sell it at fair price.

Andrew, I think a lot of people are strapped and I think the economy is gonna drop yet still....it sucks....everyone keep your day jobs a little longer! Sales on almost any brand item aren't great and I've gotten extremely insulting offers lately.....almost half of my asking price!

No doubt, I choose not the do the cover band thing anymore, but if needed my basses can always earn me a little money and they are paid for. Money goes fast and it takes a lifetime to get our dream basses sometimes.

There ya go :)

Ill NEVER get tired of drooling over this AMAZING work of art...As one of the few 5string only guys here,THIS must be how the other half lives,LOL. Best unique quilt ive seen on a NS5XL,actually THIS bass and many of you guy's Forte models changed my mind about the matte look completely. I had to have one,and thanks to BrotherBassJ,I now do...Pics coming soon!
John,I know we dont know each other but do you have this beauty set up at 18volts or 9volts?
Im sure youve covered that when you scored it,but im too lazy to dig up that info,so many threads to go back thru!
Thanks man!!...this bad boy is maybe the Holy Grail of Spector 5 strings IMO.

The 18v has a terminal for a mid control, but I have never been able to get answers on find how to aquire one of these.

Thanks Fat240
I think Jamie told me the 18vt mid control will be available in ruffly 6months? I get alot of smooth mids from rolling my treble back on the Euro5lx and the Alder back slices on my bass dont hurt for more mid response too.(I think) Who knows,i may just want a mid knob because non of my Spec's have had one yet.
If I had one and didnt think it was welcome in the Pre's mix,Id maybe UNDERSTAND why most of the Spector tones I like never had a MID knob,lol..
