Thank you! I checked in with Spector yesterday and my latest Spector Bass - NS-4MM - should be ready very very soon! I'm really excited about it.

Great eye! Why yes that is! :D I'm a total Ellefson fan. I've only owned the Alex Webster 5-string before... but for some reason the neck on this one feels much thinner, smaller... and I can play it without getting freaked-out by the extra string.

Not that I'd ever get rid of any of my Spectors, because I wouldn't... but for sure, my little old NS-2A is a keeper.

I love that I had it converted to a fretless. And of course I changed the pups, circuit, hardware (even routed it out for the USA Spector Bridge).

I LOVE my fretless Spector.

That is what makes this bass very interesting, plus the body looks great!

I think your out of spots in the rack buddy, might have to move the guitar to a separate stand! lol

I think I would like to add a 5 string as well....get that FAT B string humming.....

Bart pups - humbuckers. And seriously... it's a mean machine. I'm totally loving it so far.

Makes me think... what if someone was to do a carbon-fiber/composite neck for a Spector bolt-on?

Or even better yet... how about a neck-thru NS-Bass in all carbon-fiber - making it headless... :D

Slap a Steinberger licensed headless bridge system on it... and it'd be perfect... a Steinberger and Spector merging.

Something to ponder. :D

This bass is very well balanced. I took the neck off... because I was curious if it had a truss rod. It does... on the bottom of the neck like an old Fender. But it doesn't need it. The neck is rigid and doesn't move.

I am in love with this neck. So smooth. So strong. And so easy to care for. No neck conditioner. Just wipe and go.

Yeah. The guitar is going into a single stand when my new Spector bass arrives, hopefully in the next week or so.

Again, this is why I'm seriously thinking about picking up a bolt-on Spector and having Moses or seeing if Status or Zon will do a neck for it. I'm really starting to become a bit of a graphite fanatic.

I heard that Zon didn't have a truss, must be just talk then...I guess it's cool to have it just in case you might ever need it!
