M4 lights are the replacement with the. 90 deg mounting hole.

This makes a lot of sense as I have both styles of M4 Schallers on my various Spectors.
Although they are both the same size diameter as far as the headstock hole is concerned, the ones with the 90 degree set screw/mounting hole are significantly smaller as far as the gear housing is concerned. ("Lites"?)

I first noticed this on a M4 d-tuner I received that had a 90 degree set hole and smaller tuner housing as opposed to the other tuners with bigger housings and straight set screw mounts.
Hmmm......

I love the oil neck on my Coda, with high gloss body. :smug: Oil neck is the way to go. :D

I didn't care for either of my Forte's black matte finish, but this is freakin gorgeous in matte finish!

Very beautiful Bob! :)

Thanks, lovin everything about my woodstock walnut Spector. As for black matte basses - Profania bass has my favorite black matte Spector of all time. Every time he posts a picture of it i get weak in the knees. I'm all over it if he ever decides to sell.

Well, thanks! You're gonna be waiting a real long time ;)

Thats scary stuff man, hope you get it back without it costing you too much! My truss rod rattle reared its ugly head again a couple of weeks ago, so I emailed spector to see about getting it fixed, they apparently no longer do non warranty repairs, but referred me to philtone guitars. I shipped it and it arrived there last tuesday, but I have not heard anything since it arrived. The day I shipped it off, I had called and one of the guys there told me it might be around Jan 10th before Phil gets to look at it, so the next couple of weeks is going to be torture!

I was just down at Phil's shop on Tuesday, and yea, he is very busy. I just handed over my Pedulla Rapture and my SD-5P, and I probably won't see them until mid-late January - well worth the wait though! I could have given my basses to one of the many guys here in the Philly area, but Phil's work is amazing, and he's a great guy as well.

That is one exceptional matte black finish because of the outstanding wood grain! My former Forte 5 has outstanding Maple Flaming and gorgeous red Pau Ferro fingerboard but, I need depth with wood. :D

Yeah, It was difficult for me to sell this to puremetal33. Just like it was difficult for brotherbassj to sell it to me. But it all works out in the end. :bassist:

Is that your "steel wool" version of a glossy neck? very chic.
It's not mine so I couldn't tell you. It does have a professional look. Perhaps something Spector would consider as an "off the shelf" option.

This one is coolest finish I've seen and it's my favourite color scheme. Very cool. Bob, is it Woodstock NS-2 BTW? I wish I could see a front of it...

Still sending messages back and fourth with the seller of the green Euro 5 I'm eyeballing. It appears to be a 2001 pre LX (35" scale) but the preamp is unknown.

The bass is a little more then I would like to pay right now (especially since I've missed out on several green 5's) but it's in great shape and I'm sure it'll look even better in person.

Hopefully gonna be sending my payment tonight!
