That's what originally confused me, too! My TP is from a ReBop, so it has the 500K pots. I either have to pick up a 50K pot & wire it like the original, or do it like a ReBop with 1 Vol pot. I guess it depends on if I want what's basically a trim pot or an uninhibited pre into a volume, right?

I should be able to wire it like this, right?

I would do it like that, it should work perfect I wouldn't want to search for a 50k pot anyway:D...Man Passive Pbass pickup with a TP, thats gotta be some thunder!

I think you made the right choice, they are both very cool looking basses and I bet they sound great...wish I wasn't so focused on the Black Cherry NS2 that day...well, maybe the anniversary basses captured my attention also...but...I still kick myself for not pulling the walnut bass off the wall!

So bummed... took a family photo of my basses (2013 Poplar Euro5LX and 2 Fenders) this morning to join the club here. Went to adjust my truss rod a touch, its always been hard to turn. Snap! Truss rod is broken as far as I can tell. The nut just spins freely and the neck bows if I try to tune it up.

Ouch! That sucks. I don't know much about truss rods but I sure you can get that fixed up.

See if you can back the nut off. If not, check if there's tension on the rod. If there's no tension, remove your string nut & take a pair of pliers. You should be able to pull the truss rod out. Then, you can measure it & order a replacement dual-action from AllParts. If there is tension, you're in for a real piece of work. :S

Do as he says and take the nut off, if it will not come off and the neck is bowing (like you said it is during normal tuning) then you should not have any tension and the rod should pull out...unless...the damaged portion snags! If it does you will need to contact Spector for technical assistance. Hope this helps....

2013 Euro? Time to take advantage of Spector's great warranty. :(

I'm not about to repair it myself. There is no backing the nut off, it just spins. I only tried to tune it up for a second or two and the action looked very high so I stopped right there. A closer look and it looks a little corroded/rusty.

I'm the first and only owner and hopefully this will be covered in the warranty as I've only had it for 4 months and it's never left the house.

The bass plays like a dream! :crying:

If your the first owner you do have a warranty, you will need to get on the Spector site to find the number or better yet contact the dealer who sold the bass to you.

So aside from JPS, am I going to be seeing anyone else at NAMM next weekend?

Also, here's another Soundcloud link; definitely not as heavy, more in the indie/rock vein, but the bass tone is still undeniably Spector ;)

Sounds tight and right! Excellent musicianship all around. Particularly the bass, but I'm biased :) Very radio friendly. Congratulations on the EP brother.
