On a flat body it's just seems easier to get that.

Thanks for all your help guys. It didn't have the "licensed" statement with Stuart's signature on the headstock either; there was nothing on the back of the headstock. This is why I'm wondering if it's a Czech bass after all. As for the inlays, I can't remember if they were crowns or dots.

The more I talk about it, the worse my GAS gets. Just got to sell a few items and she's all mine. :bassist:

Thanks man. I've shot enough guitars now... I've figure out how to light them and all of that. And lighting a curved body guitar with a mirror-like high-gloss finish is not easy.

It's a tough job... but somebody's gotta do it.

It looks like a NSCR4FM from early in the series before the crown inlays started. So a 1999 model.

I sent him a polite email on it a couple of days ago. His idea of what it is, is a mish-mash of Spector history and misinformation. Like the "Tone Pump". I'd bet real money there isn't one in there. He just assumes there is because of his lack of knowledge.

Man, it must suck taking Spector pron pics. :p

I know I've asked this before, but if I were to replace the tuners on my NS-2A with gold Schallers - they'd be the M4 2x2, correct?

The Schaller M4 tuners are 1/2" diameter.
The Gotoh tuners are 9/16".
What do you have in there now?

Yeah, OI should know this but I'm just checking....

But yeah in 2x2 mode or you could use 3x2 and have an extra

I think it's like 90 days. And when you don't have steady income, that doesn't work so well.

I'm a college kid living off my parents in the summer because I haven't been able to get a job and my loans don't kick in until the fall. But I listed my gear on the dreaded 'Bay after an unsuccessful craigslist run...hopefully I can get them moved quick.

Gotta say, I'm still a pretty new poster around these parts, but you guys (TB in general, but specifically the Spector family) are awesome and super-helpful. :)

Been away for a few days, but wanted to comment on the Eddie Jackson/Phil Soussan /Rachel Bolan comments....

Since I became serious on playing bass in a live setting, the tone I've chased was Rachel Bolan's tone on Slave to the Grind. I am so close right now with the gear I have, and I've also noticed how similar that tone is to Eddie Jackson and Phil Soussan. We don't currently do any Skid Row, but we are doing Jet City Woman by Queensryche and Shot in the Dark by Ozzy, and I'm able to pretty much nail those tones....never knew they were both Spector users, so that makes it even better!

Since having the Spector back, my tone the last few practices has been the closest I've ever been to that little bass radio playing in my head with my perfect tone. My first gig since having the Spector is tomorrow night, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what others think of the Spector/Bass 400+/Powerhouse 1000 combination.

Hi, guys. I'm hoping one of you fine folks could help me out in identifying a Spector bass.

Spector 4 String Bass Guitar (Black) | eBay

This eBay listing (sorry, I don't know how to make hyperlinks) just went up, and I am puzzled as to what model/make this particular Spector is. At a glance I thought it was a Legend/NS2000, but it has active electronics evidently, and a neck-thru design, in line with the more expensive Spectors. It also appears to have been painted at some point, considering the odd gaps between the headstock and the base of the neck, unless that is standard with these basses.

I've been looking for a nice Spector bass for ages, so any advice would really be appreciated!
