Squier/Doom Bassquiers 49: Squiers The Beef?

so again, why not just have all 10s and have the drivers tuned differently? why would companies make these other drivers sizes if you can achieve the same overall sound using the same size speaker, just tuned differently?

When you tweak one parameter, everything else changes. Hence, it might not be possible to, say, get the specific sound of a K140 in a 10" size because you'd have to essentially start over in the design.

Also, there are different tradeoffs in driver size. Such as dispersion. One 15" driver doesn't have as good dispersion as one 10" driver... but it does have better dispersion than two 10" drivers side by side.

seriously tho, who gets excited to play mustang sally? im all about being in a cover band thats good and gets paid, but jesus, you can do better than that lol.

The songs I would want to cover would still put me in the Stoner Doom thread. I got the vocal chops for a Goatsnake tribute band, but I woldn't be able to do bass and sing that stuff... Those bass lines are tasty.
