Squier/Doom Bassquiers 49: Squiers The Beef?

Holy ****! I'm green with envy :P

Oh just realized it is a Greco. Was wondering why I'd never seen a Ric that color before. Still looks incredible!
She's a beaut Clark!!!
thanks dudes! i couldn't resist the color. current owner says there's nothing wrong with her and that she plays beautifully. i hope he's right.
and yeah, it's a greco from the same year as I am (and those are sort of the squiers for rickenbacker, right?). I already have a 70s p-bass from greco and love it. only thing that sucked with it was poor electrics and that was sorted out quickly. i guess i'll have to get a greco-gibson next, lol.

Oh yeah, forgot to chime in. Absolutely beautiful bass.

Stopped at MGR on the way home from class, they had a 200s that obviously rocked, but wasnt loud enuff though...and I played it through a what? Peavey 215. And used non other than a Squier P bass.

Tried an El Oso, and didnt really like it. I tried it by itself and it came off way too ice pick chainsaw-y, not my thing, maybe you need a BB to pair it with or in front of a different amp. Also tried a Redwitch Fuzzgod, to me its a more usable Dwarftcraft Great Destroyer, but still too glitchy fuzz for my tastes. Tried a Meathead clone, best out of the bunch, just dont need it.

And then this happened...

I'm a sucker for 70s Peavey SS, ever since I gave my guitarist my old one, Ive wanted another. Got her for $60. It'll be good for bedroom jams so multiple things can plug into one amp. I love the spring reverb on these heads, it makes for some cool ambient sounds with the carbon copy.

Overall good impulse buy I hope.
