ThanksI would expect you'll like it. I bought mine thru GC Used and the original or previous owner gigged 4x/week and traded basses every couple weeks. Wish I knew what strings he has loaded on it, as I like them. Had to adjust intonation. Tried upgrading wiring harness, but 250k pots were too dark, so I put the original harness back in (500k pots). The only real issue I've found is that the bridge is not placed correctly for intonation on the low end. I placed some small light bushings between the string ball and the bridge and cut the springs on the B and E intonation screws, and was then able to intonate properly. Long term I will remove the bridge and move it just a little further towards the tail.
It's been getting alot of use at church, which seems to select music requiring the B.
Enjoy!

My new pickguard is due in soon, so now I'm thinking about strings. What's your favorite strings for this bass? I'm pondering flats as I've never used them before.
Nice, Are the pickups close to MIA or MIM model on these squires and do you know where the basses are made? p
Saw a guy playing a natural jazz 5 one of these with rectangular black fret markers last night. The neck looked like it needed a little aligning with the body, and the action looked a little high. Liked the 3 ply black pickguard and it sounded ok. pI found one of these hanging in my favorite local shop yesterday.
The setup was not great.
It seems I rest my thump on the B string which was NEVER a problem. However, it seems it was right over the pickup. The string kept hitting the pole piece, making a noise. I wonder how that could be fixed......
Other then that, seems like a great value.
It felt really solid
Looked incredible in sunburst with tort
The OEM pickups are VERY close to Am Std. Myself and others have installed Am Std’s, and the difference is pretty subtle.Nice, Are the pickups close to MIA or MIM model on these squires and do you know where the basses are made? p
