Stolen Benavente SCD5 - Atlanta

A big thanks to all who have donated so far! TB is an online community like no other. Nowhere else on the Intarweb have I seen, let alone been a part of, such an outpouring of people, for people. Let's keep it going, we're the real "Good Guys" out here in the cyberworld.

I will send the other $50 that I pledged in the next week or two as funds come in. I had some unexpected expense come up this weekend. But I wanted to get on the bandwagon early to help keep the ball rolling. Best of luck on your replacement Jai.

was stolen from an establishment in Atlanta, Georgia
recently. There has since been a surgence of support
for the devastated owner of said bass.

funds to help the owner (Jai Swann) to replace this
beautiful SCD that you built for him.
I am writing to you in hope that you might be
sympathetic to Mr. Swann's situation, and possibly
offer a discount for replacing his bass with a similar
model. Of course, I recognize the imposition this
places on you and won't hold it against you if this
doesn't interest you at all. On the other hand, this
kind of publicity doesn't come around that often and
could actually give you some very positive feedback
and new business.

Very cool, Freddy. Jai, we're all behind this effort to get you back to some semblance of "the way things ought to be". Of course, if the original turns up, you might find yourself loving the new one just as much, if not a little more.
I think it speaks volumes about the people here that this has happened not in one isolated incident, but several times over the years that I have been here. We really take care of our own, and I'm really proud of that fact. Hats off to everyone involved!
OK. Got an email from Brian (Barrett) who said $1000 was the ticket to get things going, so, COME ON! Let's get this going. This can happen folks! How cool is this!!!!!!!
i also wanted to add that i am selling a dipinto mach iv guitar in the classifieds. if this sells i will donate 1/2 of the money to the bass rebuild.

I actually offered him a gig a couple years ago or so. Didn't pan out for him, but he has always been really cool. We talked via email a few times, and he also emailed me a thanks as well. He's a good egg!
