I was planning on doing a symbol on the front, but decided to hold off. I can always do something later if I want it to be an aged metal looking piece, instead of embossed. A lot of people do the book of shadows/nine gates style thing with good results. The guy who inspired me to try this technique has a bunch like that in different styles, they look really cool. I want to try sculpting and resin casting next, so maybe I'll do a piece and make it look like aged iron or gold or something to put on the front. I'm waiting to figure out what I'm going to do with the front before I seal it and start doing the additional distressing stuff I have planned.

I know I'm late on this one, but it isn't about the employer's thoughts on laws.
Many jobs entail access to sensitive information. I'm not talking necessarily about non-public personal data, I'm talking about potentially national secrets. Think defense contractors who have access to weapons tech data or FBI agents.
Pot is illegal, currently (and pointlessly, but that's another argument). Buying, selling, smoking, possessing it is still a crime. If I were, say, an FBI agent. And my pot dealer knew this, what's to stop him from blackmailing me to influence certain investigations? Replace pot with whatever drug or illegal activity you prefer.

No, he uses a Schecter Ultra and modded it with an EMG in the neck running into a modded blues driver and a carbon copy through my old SS peavey and a super distortion humbucker in the bridge with some boost pedal into a Peavey Windsor stack. the guitar ways like 15lbs, its ridiculous.
So, before I take my amp to a tech, I figured I'd ask here, since with Dun posting here, we have our own resident amp guru.
My Mesa D-180 seems to be having problems. When I have the graphic EQ on, which I use for my metal bands, it's been making this weird, obnoxious popping noise, especially when I play stuff on the low B string of my BEAD bass. At first, I was afraid I was pushing the speakers too hard, but with the graphic EQ off and volume turned up to compensate, the popping noise is not present.

Was just testing it for a minute, and when the graphic EQ is on, it sounds like a record popping especially when I hit a D on my low B string.
That sucks that you`re having problems sartori! Are you sure its the amp and not the speakers or cable?
Finally finished the aria ripper and of course I broke something before I finished. The nut broke when I went to take it off. Granted I didn't know if a shim would help the fact that it was kinda trashed and the string slots were low. But luckily I found a drop in replacement to finish it up. Turned out pretty cool but the bridge sucks something bad. I imagine it would become a awesome bass with a hipshot bridge but its not my bass and he owns a actual 74ish Gibson ripper. So I doubt he would put the money in. 
What do you guys think of this idea for the gold leaf title on my weathered tome project? Forgive the quick and dirty photoshoppitude.

I had feared at the gig that it was the speakers, but with the graphic EQ off and Volume 2 turned up to generate the equivalent volume and distortion, the noise was gone, and there's actually more low end when I do it that way (and not as much obnoxious mid as I like), so it wasn't the cab.
Plus yesterday at rehearsal and today for a bit I tried it with my little cab, and it still made the noise, though I was using a different cable. It's definitely the amp.
