70s p basses are super hit and miss. They are some of the best and worst basses I've ever played. I saw one once where you could almost stick a pen between the body and neck. There are some amazing ones, though.

Congrats on the new car, Sam. The Venzas are nice too. My wife and I looked at that and a Honda CRV. We ended up going Honda. Anyways, you're going to feel like a million bucks.

I have a japanese 70s P too. Not sure what the brand is though. I got an old cream dimarzio that's around the same age, I think. Still haven't put it in yet. Sounds great. It's my standard tuning bass. $200

Thanks to Ron, I want to add one of those Ibanez ES-2 to get my tap delay on, and use my Carbon Copy as an ambient/chorus deal. Much cheaper than that Moog though, lol. Snatched up for a decent price last night a barely used EQD Bit Commander to A/B to my MXR Slash Octave Fuzz, and now trying to find a deal on one of those Seymour Duncan Shape Shifter Tremolos that have the tap function as well. That should cure my pedal GAS except for the GT120!

That ES-2 is the best deal on an analog delay you can get currently. I'm still a little confused as to why they are so cheap. It sounds better and has more features than any other delay in it's price range, and frankly several price ranges above it. It absolutely destroys the Way Huge Supa-Puss in tone and functionality which costs $100 more than the ES-2.
Yeah I kind of came late to the whole pedal deal, just the last 3 or four years of really messing with them, buying and selling tons, had a good bit of different delays but the Carbon Copy finally got me used to a delay pedal and finally got me used to how to tweak it well for different sounds, so now I would like to try having even more options of the Ibby Echo Shifter, especially the tap function, and why I want to get a Tremolo pedal with the lots of functions and a tap tempo.
I really regret buying a Memory Toy instead of an ES-2. I mostly use delay for noise stuff so figured the MT would do the job. But I've had two of them (first one was faulty) and found them to be kind of inconsistent when it comes to self-oscillation.
Every time someone mentions the ES-2 I fantasise about its noise-making capabilities.

Thanks, I like it so far. It does kind of remind me of an F100, but with a much faster neck. I played it for about 45 minutes out in the warehouse last night before I left work, no chance to play it at home since all my gear is still cleared out from getting our floors refinished. It's really light and comfortable to play, pretty low action and moderate string tension for being setup in B and I'm digging the tone so far. Though I might upgrade the pickups. I've been thinking since I ordered it that I might put in some Lace Nitro Hemi pickups or something like that. I like that the 5 way pickup selector has a coil tapped setting for each pickup. Nice tonal variety there. I'm definitely becoming a Carvin fanboy, if I wasn't already from my SB4000. I'd like to get another bolt neck guitar for standard/Eb tuning at some point and now that they have the P series basses I want one of those bad. Never enough GAS.

Also speaking of cool things and buying stuff still have that Orange TB-1000 that I'm looking to move on if anyone is interested.
Surprisingly not much action for it on the local CL like I was hoping for.
yea that would be a killer rig. When I test that unit luckily I have a stereo SS pa that I can run to both Emperors and I can even test the whole stereo operation.
