Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Hello everyone, it's been awhile. I haven't kept up with the thread since they got rid of the TB app. Do most of my internet-ing on mobile devices and it's a PITA to keep up via the mobile site.

Still waiting on the Dictator cabs. Bought some pedals, sold some others. My strings have been super dead and I was too lazy to order new ones and my tone has suffered because of it.

Probably coolest news is that as of next week I'll be working for Reverb.com, so no more boring insurance related job, I get to talk to awesome people about gear all day. Pretty stoked for that.

Got a show in early March, it sold out in 6 days which was pretty awesome, and we're playing with my old band Weekend Nachos which will be pretty fun as we have never done that in Chicago.

Congrats on the job, Ron! We do some work with Reverb.com here at my job so maybe we'll be working together a bit. Congrats on the show, too!

Later today I'm gonna fashion together a pedal board for my Dano setup. And can't decide if I prefer chorus after or before dirt so that will need to be settled. The good news it's this is a stable setup and each pedal has the same foot print. So if I do switch positions it's not a big deal. I'll be trying the bike chain method.

Using only hand tools and my massive pile of hardware. We'll see what comes out.

So speaking of Vega downsizing...We got asked to play a super short notice show in Madtown this friday with some ex Bongzilla guys. Were gonna try downsizing. I think Im going Vulcan with channels jumped into my freakenstein 218. Hopefully itll be loud enough...we were going to try it out at practice last night but guitatist got stuck in a ditch so no practice.

Also tried to put together a new board last night to include the Phase wizard, its gonna need some more fiddling, or i mght need a bigger board.
