I hear the fractals ax-fx is pretty awesome..
Seriously though i had a zoom b3 and it was basically the worst of all worlds. I decided pretty quick that digital effects are crappy. Probably better off with buying a bunch of joyo stuff.
Mixing for the new release should happen this weekend.
You dont always get what you pay for, but you always pay for what you get.
I would figure out what a good-ish amount of money you are willing to spend on this, and let that narrow down your choices.
Muddslide - I don't think anyone in here uses multi effects units. I don't think that they're necessarily all terrible or sound like crap, but I just don't think that many folks here use them.
If I were forced to use one I'd get a boss ME50B or GT-10B. A lot of people on other parts of TB like the Zoom B3.
The Joyo suggestion is a good one, you can get enough of those to put together a killer pedalboard for less than what you'd pay for a nice Multi-FX.
Ultimate Drive > American Sound > Digital Delay > Flanger/Phaser would be an awesome little board. Even the UD is optional, as the American can get really awesomely dirty if you want it to.

I got a zoom of some sort for $20 at a pawn shop when I first started playing. Gave me an idea of what different effects can do. Then I sold it for what I paid at another pawn shop.
I recommend doing that and getting an idea of what you like and might need then resell and go Joyo or used and slowly build up.

My entire neighborhood is like a hockey rink. Winters in Nashville are typically pretty mild, but when we get a bunch of ice in this hilly city, everything shuts down. I have 4 cabs, a bass and some mics all boxed up and ready to ship but ant get my truck out of my neighborhood. Tomorrow looks worse. Funny thing about this area, within a couple days it'll look like nothing ever happened
