Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I do like it as an instrument because it's a sound different from anything else...

Ya gotta consider how much you'd regret it down the road.

Do you need the money and one less bass more, or will it haunt you like "man I used to have this killer Warwick...kicking myself for parting with it..."

I've gotten rid of and lost more gear than I can even remember, but I only really miss and regret a very few things.

I don't NEED the money. Especially since I found out I'm getting $4k back on taxes! (Kids are great!) I probably will regret it, cos its SWEET, but ive got too much gear. I'm leaning towards selling it. I sold my JGR and didn't die, so I can handle it, but I probably will say "man, I used to have..."

Have a similar dilemma. My Warmoth Gecko 5 is not my primary any more. But it is mine and different than the rest. I'd probably never build another. Difference here is I'll not get a return on my money spent and at the moment I could use the money.

I already have so many things on craigs list locally, FB and TB for sale it's stupid. Bummer is I think the interested party in my Cornwalls found another set closer to him and they met his finish needs so they are still available. Just like the basses you would miss I'm resisting posting my La Scala set. I'll probably never own another pair after.

I have a practice scheduled on Monday. Supposedly two guitarists are showing up. Aside from them there's two others on deck. Maybe one of the four will show up!
Wow, what's the plan if they all show up?

Funny thing is, I'm actually away on a "romantic getaway" that my little woman is treating me to!

She had a presentation to do 4 hours away and asked if I would drive her. Come to find out, it was a sneaky trick. She does have the presentationto do, but she bbooked us a weekend at a swanky resort (which we don't do) , with a fireplace and got me an hour long massage as a thank you for supporting her thru school. She's awesome!
