Been outrageous at work as of late, but the light at the end of the tunnel is quickly approaching. One more week of insane hours and then back to 5 days a week 8-10 hour days. I'm excited and my guys are excited.
Congrats Julian! Glad you are moving to a better job. You deserve it for sure!
@Muddslide good luck my man! Hopefully in 6 months you have a sweet new job and can laugh off the struggle for a mini doom rig while blowing windows through your newly acquired deafness actuator of doom.
Max, best of luck at the new gig as well!
I am financially ready to order my Dually. Still undecided on some things though. I am tossed over color, tolex/duratex, plastic penn elcom/metal corners and metal/cloth grill.
These are my feelings. Visually I am thinking black with a tan or woven grill cloth and black metal corners. I am also really into the look of dark green tolex with black grill. Eventually(next bonus check) I will add an identical cab to the stack, so that pushes me towards the locking plastic corners. I don't know how well they actually lock but I feel like 2 of these stacked with serious wattage on top should probably have the added security. Now, the duratex/tolex and metal/cloth debate is fierce. I love the look of tolex and cloth, but being such an investment I feel like I should protect it as much as possible. What are your guys thoughts? I don't tour, just local shows for now. I take excellent care of my gear as well. I like the touch up factor of duratex, but all of the pics I have seen make it look a little cheap to me, but that's a form/function debate.
I whored this photo over social media so I apologize if some of you have seen this multiple times but I thought I'd share my current practice rig. '74 V4B and 71' 2000s + peavey basses and a buncha fuzz.
