It was a good time! I need to find some time to come down to NV when you are not touring. Really nerd out about gear.
I gigged out with a tone hammer and a QSC GX5 in a pop band for almost a year and it sounded great. Huge bass, just enough highs and sweep able mids. Ran it last in my chain. Has a cool overdrive on tap but the only downfalls (if you consider them downfalls) is that it's dependant on the mids (less mids less grit) and has a slight boost so no unity gain.
to me it can sound more atmospheric and more delay-ish than your typical reverb, if you want it to. it can create really cool ambience as it self oscillates behind the new notes you're playing if that makes any sense. it's also really cool for creating noise and feedback.
the dampen and diffuse controls are too subtle to notice any difference if other instruments are playing though and a level or volume control would make it even better for use with bass.

On the topic of horrible people, two under 10 year olds, made a coworker's 5 year old eat poop. Like, human feces. I just didn't even know what to say. The other kids could be anywhere from 5-10. It's an after school program, to make it worse.
Now, they may be bad kids, but they're so young that it's just because they're so stupid. Obviously they need to be punished and stuff, but I don't think they're horrible people.
Instilling fear can go overboard really fast. Parents that 'run a tight ship' often end up with resentful, rebellious kids.
On the subject of eating poop: when we were kids my grandfather would tell us that the rabbit and deer droppings in the woods were smart pills. My sister and I didn't fall for it, but one of my cousins did- popped one in his mouth, gagged and spit it out. He yelled at grandpa, angry at being decieved. Grandpa's response:
"Well you're smarter now aren't you?"

@kleinenenten, see my BSW auto-wah setting below. There's still some quack but it's tamed by running the BDPG in front (darkish OD tone). With the VT afterward, this 3-ped combo is giving me a pretty effective tone for when I need to cut. Fired up to try it with band on Thu. I'll report back.
Also got a pretty decent synth tone (setting 4) but I need to twiddle knobs a bit more to de-mud it. It's too bad you can't save settings on the pedal, but for the price ($40 used) it's pretty fun.
This is the 3rd or 4th BSW I've tried and I've found the most useful tones out of it now with lower tuning. I always thought it sounded too processed before.

I've been eyeballing the behringer bass synth lately. I doubt i could find a use for it in the band though.

Is there a way on a PC, phone, or other device to access Netflix/Hulu/prime and somehow get a active A-Z list of every single thing available to stream on that service?

Don't know about a comprehensive list but i usually google "best ________ on Netflix" and there's usually a blog or something that has good lists.
I've done that before to see what's expected next month. I'll look for something like your saying.
It generally recommends some good stuff, But most is filler. I also let a friend use my name on the account and he rarely uses it but it latches onto his bad taste hard.
Ah, I see. The reason I'm looking to ditch my Digiverb is that it has a useless EQ control that I don't need or want. I just want the same sound, but with reverb. It also seems less durable than my guitarist's EHX.
I've noticed that's kind of a theme in general for me. I don't like extraneous EQ or tone controls. Part of the reason I don't like active basses is that I don't want the preamp, since I already have one on my amp. What do I hate about the Big Muff? The tone control. I just wish it wasn't there at all. With the Swollen Pickle, it's the filter control that I wish wasn't there. When I run my VT bass into someone else's amp, I try to set either its preamp or the amp's preamp to do as little to the sound as possible, because I just want to use one. Hell, I've thought about taking the tone controls off my basses and replacing them with resistors.
Children can be extremely vicious and cruel. A lot of people seem to forget that as adults.

Just busted out the Lotus LP and ran it through my bass pedalboard into the Ampeg combo. Turns out the M85 > Bazz, set to my normal settings are a magical combo for guitar. Both sound awesome by themselves but stacked they are incredible.
Random ad guy says he wants a broken cello and electric guitar. I got a strat body and a cello with no bridge I got for a combined $10 yea I'll take $50, and meet a guy nearby to pickup that fuzzo for hopefully $50.
Does anyone else think that guy Is the Japanese Jeff goldblum?
