Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

New job started last week and it is going well. Had a meeting with a girl in HR to go over the awesome health coverage I am getting now.

Turns out the girl is cute as a button, and isn't sporting a ring. Down side is, the harassment policy here is so comprehensive, they have a flirting clause...

Ask her if it's against policy to flirt with hr since they are equipped to handle it?

Don't know.... Was already distracted by the pencil skirt she was wearing today.

Also, we live in a fuqed up world. You can find out so much about people via the internet. Like I found her FB, and she doesn't have any pictures that make it appear like she is attached in any way....

Gettin' mah stalk on.

Buzzkill!

I had both of those cabs in my possession. Sold the 3620 to you, and the 810tx to GC. All for less than $500.

"Would you like to have dinner sometime?"

Not flirting, just an invitation to dinner, intentions should be clear, all she can do is say no. Plus you can cook some crazy-good food.

Got one day of work to get through then the wife and I are heading to the northwoods to camp for the rest of the week. Last hurrah of summer before school starts again. Hard to focus on work today...

Even that would get me canned if she said no. Any interaction that makes either party uncomfortable at work...

Sucks, but that is the job. Lots of other ladies out there.

That said, cooking does work to pick up the ladies. Might have something to do with the wine served with it as well...

I hear that, enjoy your shindig!

So gonna reword a question. my stereo setup needs a complimentary dirt pedal to my HM-2 played on the other side. Basically the Hm-2 is low end heavy and walk of sound like. I'm looking for something miss agressive and either low end cut, or capable of getting cut. I want something that gives at least some definition to the HM-2 kinda blurred tone in chords, and just to stick out more in single note lines.

So far I have the Joyo UD, other contenders are a rat, a pocket metal muff... $60 or less is preferable.

@JoeVictim you really like your Eno rat right? I'm tempted as I don't want to spend $89+ on a legit rat.

I think it can be cool, not always on but it has its uses. I just got that Dunlop TS-1 stereo trem/pan.

What I saw that was really really cool yesterday was a volume pedal (typical wah treadle) but it was stereo in and out and had a switch for volume or pan. The item apparently sucks so much you can't enjoy the great idea...

What is that based on?
It took a bit to re EQ my amp. But for as cheap as it is, it's totally worth it.

Well, at least the workplace is making an effort to be a safe, comfortable working environment for all employees. That's a good thing.

Everybody here is hooking up, dating or hitched. It's still a very safe and comfortable environment - but the owner gets a big kick out of bringing couples together. It makes her happy so I don't think anything as innocuous as a dinner invitation would ever be remotely frowned upon.

I know all about the cooking thing, haha. When my wife and I had first started dating she slowly discovered my interest in food and cooking. YOU'RE A FOODIE! she exclaimed one night - I responded that I don't care for that term but yeah, I like good food and I enjoy cooking.
