@Sartori -neighbor situation any better? Any gig news is good news. I relive my gigging days vicariously through you young bucks.

No news on the neighbor situation. He's been friendlier lately I guess. But I've also been listening mainly to music through headphones.

I guess the fire alarm will be something to laugh about later. Our guitarist was super pissed, though.

Depends on the sensitivity of the smoke detection. I had to have them disabled in one of my old Data Centers so I'm not rolling trucks at 2am. Dust and vibration was the culprit (depending on proximity) in this case. Any time a SOW came up with Hammer Drill involved we pulled them offline at the panel.
Funny part since North had keys on stage I though the fire alarm beeping was part of their song. Shame they only got to play one.

We were the one that got kicked off stage after the fire alarm went off. I just wish they'd warned us not to use the fog machine. We've never actually used it before. We just thought "hey, it's a venue we've played several times before, why not try it out there?"

Oh well. On a positive note, that song is brand spanking new, never been played live before. And we didn't mess it up.

I hated the musket. Sold it the day after I bought it. But people have different tastes. That pedal was definitely the flavor of the week now you don't really see them as much.

I don't think I've heard of the Musket. What's wrong with it?

I've owned a few Big Muffs...last one was Russian.

Alls I gots now is the MXR Muy Grande. Like it okay for what I'm doing now. What you think of yours? They don't get mentioned here much...figgered they were kinda frowned upon.

Those are reputed to be great guitar amps. Like a high-powered Champ.

I used to have a 1965 Vibro Champ. Damn it was juicy sounding. Bought it off an old retired cop in Baton Rouge for $50 around 1994. Miss it. My old '73 Tele through that thing was magic.

Just strung up the SG, loosened the truss a 1/4 turn and plugged it into the MMB. Well sounds pretty damn cool, but a few things were off.

1. The SG has a messed up jack, it won't let you stick the cable in all the way it spits it slightly back out and causes all kinds of trouble. But when it was ok intermittently, It sounded and feels great so far.

2. The amp sounds good, but something's wrong with it, or it was modded I think. It plays and such but most videos portray a louder dirtier amp. In fact the #1 complaint is a lack of clean headroom and I'm the opposite even at full tilt.

3. I'm not used to owning an instrument of any kind valued over $300, and both it and the amp are worth a combined sum much larger than I paid.

My thoughts are "sell this stuff and get yourself a squier mustang and another peavey classic 30 or a delta"

I do so want to keep it too though and make it mine. This is supposedly one of the easiest amps to mod, and only a few tweaks make it great, and a little work on the SG too wouldn't hurt.

I'm just afraid I'll upset value and history with my curiosities then feel bad.

For sure just get the SG tuned back up and don't customize it much. Even with the finish flaws it's worth much more than you paid for it. Easy flip later down the road if needed.

Also bathtub keeps clogging up. This time I snaked it with a coat hanger, plunged at it. Emptied it with a cup and wash cloth, then added drano and sat then added water and plunged... I'll try again in a few but no dice and I'm afraid of leaving drano in there but more afraid of coming in contact with it.

Sounds like you need a new jack on the sg and new power tubes for the fender. Their wont be a tone of head room for that amp. I think it's 30 watts.

Edit : Its 12 watts.

What is SA in SA BEF?

No recommendations other than try a cool cat dano lol. bad stones a cool phaser, also the only one I've ever used.

Only had onboard chorus in my bxr200, a delta labs and the cool cat. Now I have the boss DC-3.

Good call. I do have access to one. I'll give it a shot. But if I move the chorus off the Dano board, it'll ruin the Dano board's mojo! (In other words, clearly I have a problem.)

LOL but Kava doesn't really do the green weird thought thing. You get euphoric but never lose mental clarity. It's more of a let your thoughts melt away and relax thing.

Works great, just be careful with it.

I'll have to use my tube tester on the tubes and extra he gave me. He was a legit amp/guitar tech and ran me through all the stuff he did, including buying NOS tubes for it. It's the earlier 6A5Q model from I think he said first year 1970, I'll have to read the numbers and Google to confirm.

The jack in the Jazzguarbird was super tight like that at first but it sort of wore in and works nice now. The Waterstone is doing that sort of pops out the jack a little thing but works ok. Not sure if that is just the depth of the threads sticking out because it is a side jack or not. Probably just swap it out as they are cheap and easy to install.

I kept plunging and adding hot water to dilute my drano until my house smelled like an indoor pool. Then all this stuff started seeping out under the plunger and I stopped and walked away. Checked it before bed and it was drained and a bed of sludgy hair and debris coated the tub. I'll buy that next time if it's not likely to destroy my plumbing. my house is likely over a hundred years old.
