I do it all the time. No problems at all. The one time the item didn't pan out I just took it back to my local GC and all was good. I'd say go for it. You can find some sweet deals sometimes.

I think the main difference is "sailors" are wind powered, and maritimers are motor powered.

Fuqking Friday gents! First leg of a long stretch of work, next day off is the 18th. Thankfully I have some time in there for band practice. If I didn't have a little volume therapy, I could get dangerous to be around.

I haven't listed it anywhere yet, but I figured I'd give you guys first shot if anyone's interested since I know some of you like to do your own recording, I'm selling my Focusrite Liquid Saffire 56 recording interface for $500 shipped. It's got 8 preamps (2 with direct instrument inputs), monitor and 2 separate headphone controls, 8 analog I/O, ADAT based expansion (for adding more preamps, which I do with a Focusrite OctoPre), has preamp modeling on 2 channels, which I never really use but it's cool. It's Firewire based, comes with an Apple Firewire to Thunderbolt plug adapter, I have all the original packaging, manual and everything. It has a little wear on the rack ears from moving all the time for field recording, but otherwise in nice condition and works as it should. I'm upgrading to the newer Focusrite interface that just came out and wanted to try to sell my old one first before buying it.
