I think he's small like Angus Young.
You guys watch the drum one?
I guess his nickname is little
Do you mean the dead weather vid where jack white details his floor Tom triad thing and double snare setup?

Man it is a thing of beauty, very sharp, understated looks, not tons of bells and whistle. Only thing I didn't realize was I need a damn digital audio to video convertor to run it with my tv. I tried a million ways to hook it up to the tv last night and no luck. I think what I need is an optical digital audio to rca convertor, I think? Maybe I should of went with an AV receiver instead.
Get a TV that wasn't made by the Amish, with a optical digital out and call it good![]()
It's a new tv and has an optical digital out, it's the stereo that is analog.
I thought the Sword album was alright too, but after I finished it I popped Warp Riders in. I actually like the vocals on the newer Baroness stuff.Yeah its a really weird album. Its O K but really poppy. I see what they tried to do but they kinda failed at it. I think if they went more blues-rocky like a Black Keys type thing they'd be a lot better. Problem with the Sword is the same as recent Baroness, dudes just aren't that good a singer to do that kind of music and it really shows.

ehx bass micro synth is awesome. loveine but it has it's quirks due to being all analog.
I love mine (big box version) but it's a PITA to gig with. Too many faders, oddball power supply, large footprint, weird jack locations.
Is that a Toslink connector on your TV? Let me know what the connector looks like and I can find an inexpensive converter for you.
Man, sorry to hear that. Sympathies to you and Pippi.pippi my kitten died from complications brought on from swallowing sulfur skin treatment ointment, they think she had something majorly wrong with her to begin with and the poisoning just made it so she couldn't fight anymore, i saw her about an hour before she died, she couldn't eat and her breathing was super heavy, didn't know what to do, i was kinda shocked, went to my friend's vintage music place to think about if i wanted to put her to sleep and to charge my iphone, when i went back they said she died already, really not a fun afternoon, i hope nobody irritates me at work tomorrow, because in all likelihood i will probably make them bite the curb in the parking lot, the joys of being a failed animal rescuer and a unappreciated art teacher
Thanks. I didn't realize realize I had a headphone jack on my tv last night. My girlfriend's father said oh I just use the rca to headphone jack. I thought oh yeah I had one on my old desktop to my computer stereo. So I told my girlfriend where it was and she hooked it up and I am good to go now.
Sweet. My TV has line out RCAs so I just use those. It also has a headphone out, but that isn't effected by the volume control, which is stupid.
I guess I almost feel like they should be dying by now. Two straight years of hitting them hard should take a toll, shouldn't it? Also, one seems to be dimmer than the rest.I'm no doctor @Squanch72 but it sounds like he's saying your getting dirty dream semi chubs from your Hawaiian hooch.
@Sartori power tubes are more likely to die quicker. If there is not a lot of noise or issues caused by physically prematurely ending a preamp tubes life, I'd assume a steady quietening was the power tubes.
Unless suddenly your amp is not as adequate as you always say it is volume wise your fine I assume.
The main disadvantage of the SM57 is that its low end roll-off is too high to capture a bass's true low end. Hence why if you use one, it should be paired with a kick drum mic or a DI to get those lows. The RE20 rolls off much lower and so can be used on its own (though we'll still probably pair it with DI for the new stuff).I'm leaning. Towards the ev re20, I've thought about doing the 57 with a di, but something about the magic that happens with a volt thrower driving the verellen with power tube drive is just hard to replicate. It's a totally different sound than just di'ing my signal. So because of that I've been looking for a good option for capturing that bass tone.
Edit: And I'm not sure if the SM57 would capture that or not.
I was about to disagree, but then I looked at saw that most of the albums I was thinking of as recent and really good were late 2014.Is it only me or we get a lot of lukewarm albums this year? New Ufomammut is so underwhelming that if it was recorded by some unknown band, it would never be noticed. New Windhand is just plain boring, just more of the same repetitive Electric Wizard worship. OK, Elder's Lore is amazing, new Uncle Acid is pretty good. But it just seems (at least to me) that our genre is eating its own tail a bit.
If you like the GoT books, you should check out Malazan Book of the Fallen.Cool! Where are you at in the show?
I'm not even a big sword/sorcery/fantasy guy, but I got hooked enough on GoT to read all the books (and that's a commitment!)
Another recent-ish HBO show I really dug was the first season of True Detective. I'd just about put it up there with the best television ever.
SLC is, as far as I know, pretty much the biggest city not only in the state, but in a multi-state area. So people from all over are coming there.Honestly it's just getting better, the counter culture has grown a TON in the last few years especially. Most jobs I've worked have had minimal religious fanatics. They usually end up being the minority in the call centers I've worked it. It's also largely generational, it seems like more people my age and younger have realized that it's just a ******** money stealing cult and woke up.
And our mountains are pretty ****ing brutal. I mean beautiful. Or both.
And fun to hike.
Yeah, dialing in additional fuzzes can be difficult when you're getting so much overdrive from the amp already.not going to buy the diabolik at the music store, can't deal with buying another fuzz and then selling it, cause it doesn't jive well with the gain structure of the d180
next practice i'm gonna either distort the LB100 or overdrive the L2000, not really sure what to do, still no word on if we are having another bassist or a guitarist on the 30th
I mean, at the same time, unlike many, I was super unimpressed with Electric Wizard's newest album.
i have the same version. I'd like to try the pog2 as an alternative. may not sound as good but it should track better.
