Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Excellent color & finish.

weird because most of my ancestry is Mesopotamia. no one in my extended family is lactose intolerant.

From what I've noticed, most traditional dairy east or west asiatic dishes rely solely on cows milk in a curdled or yogurt form, or they raise goats for milk. Both these sources don't contain lactose.

Lack of refrigeration or the ability care for cows in your environ would prohibit much lactose interaction beyond breast feeding as a kid (moms produce lactose). The West and refrigerators allowed it to exist a relatively short time now though I guess. I'm not a
anthrolactologist though... Only because I just made it up.

Now I am one.

Besides I think Mesopotamia is the old word for such stomach troubles. You know, because you make such a mess of the pot...

I don't drink cow milk, but I do other dairy.

My recording partner was just given a box of Dano pedals from an old professor. He's passing a few on to me.

Spent the day at a Kiowa celebration and ritual out on the site of the 1864 massacre of the Tonkawa tribe by the Shawnee.

Sometimes being in Indian Territory has its good side.

Cool! Which Dano pedals did he get?

Got my hands on a Weeping Demon today. Sounds great, but I'm terrible at it. As usual, splitting hairs is where it's at. I can't do the wah sound I like manually, so envelope filter it is. Gonna return it and finally get an MXR BEF this week. It's been decided.

You're not going to practice a little before selling it? I'm still getting the swing of the new 105Q, but a I think an EF would be a little too funky sounding.

Splitting off from this vital dairy anthropology and genetics discussion,

Do you guys reckon using a hollow or semi-hollowbody for doom would result in:

A) Awesome amounts of feedback and doominess

or

B) Uncontrollable, horrible feedback that kills everyone in the near vicinity?

Probably the second one (especially with lots of dirt) but you can mitigate that by stuffing some foam inside the body.

I tried an acoustic bass once at war volume: impossible feedback. Feedback That overcomes any fuzz dirt tone etc. Very disappointing considering acoustics can't hang acoustically either. Almost worthless instruments, even if at intermediate volumes they sound killer.

No, not gonna practice. A/B'd it to my current filter, and I like it better. For an effect that gets so little use comparatively, I'm not gonna spend hours and hours on it when I can get something that can do it for me. I'd rather spend the time practicing riffs etc. I guess it's the same basic principle, but I just don't feel like learning a wah I suppose. When I do use the envelope filter, I use it A LOT. And I'd suck at doing that live, so EF it is.

Computer still says I'm most compatible with a 30 year old large black woman with kids... According to the app I'm meant to do string along baby daddy stuff lol?

Weirdly then an Asian girl approached me, and we talked most of the day. Among the conversation, She said satan smiles on her, and she loves sausage gravy.

The app says don't even bother talking to her, you don't mix.. Why would any man avoid a devil may care girl who brings up sausage gravy? Got to at least see if I can get ride of some of mine.
