If the dude had just countered $745 plus a gig bag, I probably would have taken it just out of my social anxiety-fueled urgency to bring awkward conversations to a conclusion. Oh well.

Dig this thing my buddy just built. He's gonna velcro a Boss Distortion pedal and a circuit-bent keyboard/noise generator onto the butt end of it. His version of the LaBella 2X4 guitar:

My biggest peeve about guitar center sales people is how they act when you haggle vs after you buy.

They never fail to act like my attempts to deal are some taboo foreign concept. This is even though I always start the conversation with "last time I was here I made a deal"... They tell me that's ridiculous and unheard of. Then I most likely just walk away. If I do buy anything, within a week whoever that sales guy is, emails me his personal info and special coupons and offers to do deals if I go through him...

I'm kinda glad I didn't get bit too hard by the vidja-game bug. I like them. I am not derisive of them or the people who play them, but I'm kinda glad they aren't in my life in such a way that I spend time or money on them.

I grew up playing pinball and remember when Pong was The Big Thing in the hood...then arcade games (Pac Man, Centipede, Asteroids, Frogger, Space Invaders...you know. I kicked serious ass at Galaga. 8 bit kid all the way.)

And you better believe I had an Atari 2600 and a million game cartridges.

My kids have an Xbox and used to have a PS3, so I watch them play and I'm glad they have fun with it. But if it another obsession/addiction for me I'd be in serious trouble.

@Muddslide I'm a gamer but my Xbox is mostly used for Netflix/Hulu. With kids/job/wife/bass/other hobbies I don't have a ton of time to game.

I was a Super Nintendo kid. Played all the Squaresoft RPGs untill they wouldn't save anymore.
I had a Sega Saturn after that, then I didn't have another console until a few years ago when the wife surprised me with an XBOX360.

Occasionally a computer gamer, I have H1Z1 on Steam.
