Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

Hey guys, long time thread lurker (yeah, Im the creepy guy in the hoody standing just in the background......).
Anyway, trying to really sort my playing/theory/writing out after a few years of no band etc.
How do you guys go about it?
What keeps you motivated?
Creative proccesses etc?

Also , congrats on being the least judgemental, friendliest group on TB.
Well, if you are a long time lurker you know the protocol: rig, pics of rig, more rig stuff, pedal board, pics of pedal board, basses, pics of basses. This should be a S/D thread sticky.

Well I was supposed to go to a party last night but before I got there a guy who wasn't invited showed up and pulled a gun on people (accidentally shooting himself in the foot in the process). He got over taken, then the gun of already dubious origin found a new bearer. As it disappeared in the scuffle to take him down apparently.

Miss all the crazy parties...
Shoulda shot himself in the groin for being a total d!ck.

Another long time lurker here in this thread. My lurking took a serious hit when they disabled the mobile ap.

Me and my drummer started by jamming on covers. We got in synch, and then began working on some of our own material, mixing that in. Now we work only on originals, and out of the 8 songs we started composing, we work mostly on the most recent ones because they just keep getting better and better as we hone in our "sound."

We struggled to figure out where we wanted to go in the beginning, but now the music is sort of taking its own direction.

Left- 35" 4 string I made based on Ibanez roadster shape. Neck-through, mahogany with spalted maple front/back, audere preamp.

Right - 70's fernandes "the revival" pbass.

Also have an 82 ibanez roadster, refinished, and will soon have another bass finished up based on the wal shape

No pics of pedals. Got a custom bass muff, sansamp oddi, chorus, tuner and a small tiny pedal of ferociousness thats damn near unplayable but cool
