Can't believe I'm selling my Gibson G3. One of my favorite basses ever, but just doesn't get much stage time with my current gigs. The main reason is to get a Gretsch bass I've always wanted. I have this (fairly rare) Gretsch Baritone

Only 100 were made in the US and I can't resist having a matching pair. There's a normal guitar version too...hmmm

I was gonna say, $100 for a pair is a steal. Even $100 is pretty darn good considering what they sometimes bloody go for now, I think that around what this guy is selling these 4 at.

Day 2 of the circle tour. Had Gram's Pasties in Escanaba for breakfest, voted best 7 years running. Mackinaw Bridge was cool big bridge. Mackinaw City was a desolate winter wonderland. What would be busseling in summer is empty in winter. But there was a "today is the day 50% off sale" at a cute clothing shop, that Im almost positive everday is "the day to stay in business sale" picked up a cool Woolrich vest for me and jacket for the lady with my Ellen winnings for our 1 year. Then we found Petosky Brewery on the way to a different brewery we were headed to for dinner, glad we stopped there, they had far better selection of darker beers. I got myself a growler of a real good super limited brew porter they made. Woulda stopped in Charlivoux but it was even more desolate than Mackinaw. Trasverse city is anything but, perfect main street downtown, ice cream and now kava:30 to end the day.

Pasties, yum, I don't think I have had one in ten years, even in PA they were a rarity, only made for special events. There actually was a pastie shop where I lived in Florida.

What a great way to describe kava. Sometimes I overhear my girlfriend telling people how much it changed me for the better. Plus I hear people in her family that noticed the changes and say I really need to try that kava. I love how it took me from constantly dwelling on negative stuff to eff that noise.
Had an empty house last night so after I took care of the critter chores I pushed back dinner to way late for a nice heavy kava session on a empty stomach. Sank into the recliner and put on some good mind melting music, pure bliss really getting to listen to the kava with zero distractions.

Recently switched my guitar to flats. LOVING it! Any of you guys prefer flats on both guitar and bass? I always hear people say you lose definition with flats, but all I seem to have lost is fret buzz and annoying, piercing treble. Thought maybe guitar needed that treble, but I just EQ'd a bit of treble back in on a pedal or two, and we're golden. I've gained a beefier sound, better string tension, and the sound in my head. Don't think I'll ever go back to rounds on guitar or bass.

I need to try some flats on guitar again, years ago I had some on a jazz box. This reminds me that I need to order a set of flats for the Waterstone and fix the jack on it.

I go back and forth between flat and round on bass. Currently on rounds again. Haven't tried flats for guitar but I should try it at some point.

Hey Guys, wondering if any of you have recommendations for a modulation pedal of some sort that would work for long ambient trippy drones in a new part in one of our songs. We're tuned to B standard, so must handle lows well. Thinking phaser or similar, but I'm open to just about anything if you dig it. I've got a TC Hall of Fame Reverb on "church" mode that would be working with it, but want a bit more texture/swirl/etc.

In other news, the 400+ watt all tube bass amp is getting oh so near to completion. The Mercury trannies are ungodly. They only sag about 15-17v at 400W!! Going to be quite the mother effer. The KT90's have a freaking amazing midrange detail and aggressioin that is unlike most bass amp tubes (6L6's, 6550's etc). God I'm so pumped...
