Justin Chancellor has a signature fuzz/wah coming out from Dunlop.

It’s going to be a wah with my own version of the sweep, but it’ll have a fuzz element, as well. We started on it a long time ago, but it’s been really fun to listen to different wahs and distortions and think about the people who inspire me and the core bass players who made crazy sounds that I aspire to. For me, that awesome bass wah always goes back to Cliff Burton and how he could make noises that sounded like pulling teeth. That’s what I wanted for this. It’s not going to be exactly that, but it’ll have the ability to crank on the distortion and just make insane demonic frequencies. It allows you to get a little outlandish if you’re a bass player. It’s going to be quite a fun pedal. And the team making it has been just outstanding. It’s not quite there yet, but it’ll be out soon enough.

I use an Iron Ether Xerograph deluxe with a Moog EP-3 expression pedal, which allows for a sweepable low-pass filter. I love the sound of it and don't feel the need to explore more typical wah options with bandpass filters.

i have the 3leaf chromatron and it can do the same, the problem is you have to engage the chromatron first and then another step to get to the exp pedal. it can be a tricky tap dance.

I picked this up yesterday for a hundo. Super stoked to have a P again and this thin neck feels great. The owner glued a piece of wood above the pickup for a thumb rest and the strings are put on all wrong but other than that it seems great. Just a few dings. I am going to have a black/white/black guard made for it and probably go volume only. Will probably put some new strings on it and do a setup this weekend.

Those are killer. I love those necks, been hunting for one to put on my patriot as I have the fatter 1.75" nut neck on it.

I played countless NOFX covers one it.

Shameless plug from my lurking self. My band is finally releasing our album soon and released a single. I used a Fuzzrocious Baby Furnace on it and I did see a few pages ago people were talking about recording with SM57s we self recorded and I mixed/mastered it and almost the entirety of this recording was done with GLS SM57 knockoffs and it ended up sounding pretty great. For anyone getting into home recording I'd really recommend getting the Plugin Alliance subscription for mixing/mastering you pretty much get all the amp sims and tools you could possibly need and the new Ampeg VSTs are fantastic. That and their auto-mastering tool bx_masterdesk is really user friendly and more tweakable then something like Ozone Elements if you don't want to try mastering it yourself.

Sold some stuff and got paid via PayPal. Never done that before. The payment is “on hold”. Is that normal? How long does that last? It said that it would be on hold until 24 hours after delivery, which should be sometime today. Just a bit freaked out, as I hope it’s not some sort of scam or something. Probably nothing, just my first time receiving payment via PayPal and am not sure what normal is.
